    did i do it wrong

so i calculated the bmr macronutrient needs and all that this is what i came up with-

    i'm a 180 lb 6'2 very lean
    moderately active (work)
    looking to bulk.

i calculated my BMR is 2448
    163 protein
    81 fats
    450 carbs

so i add 500 to my BMR and that would be what i aim for on a bulk? sorry if this is a stupid question

200-300 over maintenance is good if you'd like to keep gains leaner. 500 is excessive imo

Are you calculating your BMR or TDEE? They are very different.

In a bulk you want to keep calories about 10-20% (I'd recommend 10) over your TDEE.
    IIFYM - not even once.

You're confusing BMR with TDEE. The advice you provided would cause the OP to lose weight, potentially a lot of weight.

That's what I meant, ty. Had to delete my post because I don't know his activity factor, thus making my statement incredibly inaccurate.

protein is low. minimum is 1g/lb so you need at least 180g
Ditch your meal plan and develop a diet that combines sound nutrition with the foods you enjoy by eating when you see fit in the portions that allow you to achieve your macronutrient and caloric needs while providing sufficient micronutrients, energy and satiety. One can never forget that nutrition is a tool, not a restraint; the enjoyment of life should always come first. Psychological, sociological and emotional health should never be threatened by the attempt to increase physiological health.
