I would be interested if anyone could provide any true research or involve the breakdown of each food type. I would love to see the carb composition in each of these to really tell anything.

^must still think that the individual food choice for overall carb consumption matters
Ditch your meal plan and develop a diet that combines sound nutrition with the foods you enjoy by eating when you see fit in the portions that allow you to achieve your macronutrient and caloric needs while providing sufficient micronutrients, energy and satiety. One can never forget that nutrition is a tool, not a restraint; the enjoyment of life should always come first. Psychological, sociological and emotional health should never be threatened by the attempt to increase physiological health.

Harder? It's a different texture & depending on the type of noodle, it could be thicker & may seem "harder"

Either that or you aren't cooking it long enough

I prefer pasta and bread over rice simply because of simplicity. Also can't stand brown rice, whole wheat pasta is Ok though.

arnold bread has transfat in it - its best to avoid bread unless you are going to a bakery that makes it fresh - so for the cheap person pasta / rice is better

why then dont you eat table sugar as your ONLY carb source and report back here in 6 months with results of blood lipid profiles. I think the lack of fiber in your carbs will screw you over

You always use absurd, utterly unrealistic extremes in an attempt to demonstrate that your ideology is correct, but those extreme examples only serve to demonstrate how disconnected from reality your positions are.

Bread is portable and requires the least amount of preparation, but is the most costly.

Rice takes the longest time to cook but is probably the cheapest option.

Pasta has a moderate cook time and is only marginally more expensive than rice, but by very little.

Pasta and rice can be prepared in a variety of ways, from cooking in broth instead of water to adding sauces and other spices to enhance flavor.

Bread of course is useful for spreads and things of that nature.

Right now I have rice and bread in my daily diet, mainly becuase bread is fast and rice uses less dishes than pasta and is therefore preferable because I don't like doing dishes.

When I eat brown rice I usually put a bit of extra hit nandos sauce in it. That usually makes anything taste good.

Yes, carb is just a carb, fiber and micronutrient content are different, comprenez-vous?

The discussion concerns rice, pasta, and bread.
