The focus is carb, so with the protein and fat it's probably 7k. The carb load is meant to stoke the metabolism, restore leptin, replenish glycogen. And that's exactly what's happening and not contributing to fat storage at all. This must be the case since I'm down 12 lbs in 4 weeks.

If theres one thing I've learned from competing it's that the whole concept of "calories in, calories out" is far from an exact science. I'm up 12% calories from my supposed contest prep and have slimmed down 2.5 lbs in 3 weeks. I couldn't cut any more for the life of me at the lower calories. I also know I had 2000 extra calories a couple days ago and registered a whole .6 lbs more on the scale for a day. After that, back to where I was. Can't think that consuming 3500 cal worth of food will be a pond f fat gained. It just doesn't work like that for anyone.
Being weak is a choice. So is being strong.

Just to give you an idea of what's been happening this week. After my Skipload I weighed 1lb heavier on Sunday, and 4lbs heavier on Monday. This morning I have already baselined, meaning that I'm already back to my pre-Skipload weight. By Saturday I'll be at least 1lb lighter still, so time for another enormous carb load. It's working so far, so why mess with the results....and I really don't care how it's working...

Tracks are flooded, trains cancelled and delayed and stuck, no stops at Kipling (where I need to alight), and no subway service between Kipling and Jane (I take the subway to Jane, meet my boss and we drive up to Richmond Hill together). Forget it. Not going anywhere today!
No drama: You know where we are.

Was finally able to bench 225 for 6 reps today. Doesn't sound like much, but 2 months ago I could barely do the bar without pain. It looks like physio is slowly but surely paying off. I'm still not a big fan of Turkish getups though lol
Bench Max: 380 lbs
Deadlift Max: 505 lbs x2
Squat Max: 365 lbs
Incline Bar Max: 350 lbs x1

climbing back up on my flat bench as well, changed my form, elbows more tucked in, less flare which gave me really back shoulder pains
been 3 weeks since I changed up, I was doing series of like 8-10x225, yesterday I did 3x225 and 1x235 with no shoulder pain at all, felt good and I am sure my better form will help me advance faster since my weak point was beginning to be my shoulder pains
