been to the pickering one last week. I noticed that all the extreme fitness converted into goodlife are the ones to go.

In all of the locations I've been, and I've to a lot, the one at yonge/407 still is the best in regards to equipment/types of people. The only downside is there's no stoplight so getting in and out during rush hours is such a pain

Bowmanville location has been great for the types of people, it's been a great gym community there.
I toured the old Extreme now Goodlife at Whitby, by the 401 but have not worked out in.

Here's a typical Canadian dilemma...not being able to go to the gym because your car won't turn over in -40 degree weather. One reason I don't like the winter....

At least you can get out your front door. Right now the snow has drifted so bad - after receiving 50+ cm, that I can't open my door.

Got sick of getting up and going to the gym in the morning/ not being open on holidays/ time spent going to, getting dressed into gym clothes, doing work out, getting washed and dressed again then going back home and saved up the money to buy a squat rack with built in pulleys and an adjustable bench. But if you lack the space for it though guess you have to suck it up and brave the cold.

I also have a home gym so I enjoy the same conveniences. My attendance at the gym definitely plummets during the winter. Whenever spring arrives I'll start going there more often.

Nice. This year's contest is going to be a good one. Evan, Dex, Pak, Compton, Branch, Cedric...and the 212 will likely be stacked too.

    What do you have planned?

It's only been -20 in my part of Toronto :/ Maybe you mean with the wind chill? Going to the gym is not the issue, the issue is it takes my yukon 12 minutes to heat up and the gym is 11 minutes away lmao The cold as balls ride kind of puts me off, but I always feel too hot when I leave so...I might of even put the window down once.

You'd not fare well at my workouts then...I'm out of the gym by 6:30am.

Seriously though, you do get use to that type of schedule. It also feels good to know that you've got your training in first thing.

It is a great habit, getting it done and over with first thing. Makes the rest of the day better!

    Hello Fellow Canadians (first post!)

I'm a Goodlife member, i workout in the GTA, i alternate between 3 locations: Milcreek and Derry in Mississauga, Dufferin and Finch In Toronto, also the Madison center location at Yonge & Sheppard
def hard to stay motivated over the past few months without vehicle access and extreme cold, but now that i have consistent vehicle access, i'm more inclined to spend my free time at those locations sometimes before and mostly after work. (the perils of working until 2am)
