Thanks, LaDonna
Only two days left for January. I didn't put any effort to lose weight in January, I wanted but being sick and being indecisive of what I do with my life, I feel so not focused. I feel I'm not accomplishing anything. I hope February is better in every aspect of my life. Still weigh around 160-163...definitely need to press on to lose fat. I am aiming to lose 8 pounds in Feb. I haven't restrict any food in Jan which I have consumed over 3000 calories a day with maximum of 500 calories burn thru exercise. I will take my intake more seriously and will measure and limit myself with only an hour of exercise a day. I signed up for a transformation forum http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=151308363 and hopefully this will motivate me to get to where I want to be.
I am excited for this!

Last day in Jan...I weigh 160 today. Not good :-( I ran 3 miles with high speed this morning and my calves are killing me right now. I probably take a break from running tomorrow. I will lift weights instead(upper body only) I always get DOM on my 2nd day after the exercise and I will be an old lady on Sat, I guess.

Feb 1: wt -160.8 36.4% bf
Just finished exercising. Meant to do C, S & Tri but something wrong w/ dvd player. Only did Chest. Total calories burn for this is 609 w/ 2 miles run(slow run) and 30 min elliptical.
My wt is up little bit from yesterday but it's okay. My body needed all that food I ate yesterday. It seemed that the actual calories burn from speed run was more than what it says on my HR monitor. Maybe 'after burn'? I wasn't used to the speed and high speed shocked my body. I probably have a high speed run once a week now on until the race.

Thanks, Vanessa.
Finished Shoulder and Triceps lifting. Burned another 100 calories for 30 min exercise. Everything counts, woohoo!
Eating wise I did pretty well today. I didn't restrict myself from certain food but didn't go overboard as usual. Up to dinner, 1795 calories in. Crossing my fingers not to snack while watching TV later on (I eat out of boredom).

I planned to run 10K this morning but I couldn't feel like running(I feel like this most of time) so, I walked for 5 min and ran 3 miles and walked the rest of 5 miles. As I thought a couple days ago, I am soar head to toe from exercise and feel thousand years old. Maybe I need to rest a day from exercising. Tomorrow is my planned 'rest day'. Hope one day off is enough ;-) For eating wise, I am still bad at controlling my eating habit. My stomach is so used to eat large portion of food. I feel as if I am feeding bottomless hole. Need to stop:-(

Rest Day, woohoo! But found myself in the home gym this morning. Burned off about 400 calories doing Les Mills Body Combat. I just had to do something since there will be lots food I'm going to face since it's Super Bowl. I'm not excited about the game but the food. Hubby will be grilling all kinds of meat and I made some dips. I will have fish taco(hubby will smoke the tilapia; never done that before but it will not hurt to try new thing) and broccoli slaw(no creamy dressing, just mexican hot sauce w/ some vinegar) and plain avocado. I am trying to eat healthier and hopefully it tastes good.
Walked my dog 1.5 m in snow and loved it. It will be snowing all thru the day.

After the eating all day long yesterday, my wt went up to 163 lbs. Today is Day 1 for a new diet plan. Had a breakfast as soon as I got up. I don't usually eat breakfast so, it was hard to do it. Good thing I prepared last night before I went to bed. Took a 'before' pic and delete all 'before' pictures from the past. I never have 'progressed/after' pic because I never finish the program I started. I was hesitating to take pic because of that reason but I decided to go ahead and took them.
Update: Ran/Walked 5 miles. Had left over chips & dip for snack(oops), meatballs & tilapia w/ roasted red bell pepper for lunch. For dinner, avocado salad which I only used 1 Tbsp of asian dressing. I need to work on portion control and measure everything!!!Last edited by Min125; 02-04-2013 at 03:21 PM.

This morning's wt is 160.2 lbs w/ 36.9% bf. I didn't restrict my food intake due to my monthly visit. It always causes me to binge. I should control myself but didn't. Ate all week over 3000 calories daily and only burned 500 cal/day. It's not any different from my 1st WI for the transformation motivation thread. I want to do some cardio for tomorrow's WI but why? It will not be a real wt. I am in this for long run. Therefore, I wouldn't exercise tonight. Next week's WI will be better since I am done w/ hormonal binge today. I am curious what I will weigh tomorrow morning...

Well, this morning I weighed 162.8. It was due to last night late snack(banana split). Why did I do that? I think I don't believe in myself. I want to lose fat but I never follow the plan all the way. That's why I don't get the result and no one believe me whenever I mention about fat loss. I only blame myself. But it is done and I can only change the future. I WILL CHANGE my attitude and it will all follow.
Today was rest day from 10k race training. I did P90X X-stretch and managed to walk 2 miles outside when it's not raining(it was raining on and off all day). However, my nutrition was bad again. Tomorrow is the day starting 'Racing 10K in 80 days'.Last edited by Min125; 02-08-2013 at 04:16 PM.

Day 1: Get myself together
I couldn't sleep last night due to wind noise(I thought it was hurricane or some). My body is soar from stretch I did yesterday. I never do a full body stretch and I guess I stretched a lot. I feel my sides and ab. It doesn't hurt but I realize how much inflexible I am. I need to do more yoga/stretch.
I will plan the day in the morning and will update every night now on.
Plan: 1) 10K race training - run/walk 10K (it doesn't matter how long it takes since it is my 1st attempt since last yr)
2) nutrition - Cal 1,203 C 101g F 45g P 122g
Update: 1) exercise - ran 9K and walked the rest, total of 6.6M in 71min burning over 800 calories.
also, hiked 3M trail and walked 1 more mile after dinner
2) intake - cal 2,600 (had pizza & choco chip cookies). I didn't follow my diet plan. Breakfast was really on to the point then, after came back from hiking threw everything out. I was hungry and when hubby suggested 'pizza', I was done being 'good'. I had some salad and mixed nuts for dinner.
I need to change my behavior towards the food. I don't live to eat food. I eat food to live.Last edited by Min125; 02-09-2013 at 05:01 PM. Reason: Updating

Yes, I am training for my 2nd 10K race. Last year, my official PR was 59:51 and I'm aiming to reduce about 2 min. Currently I run avg 5.5mph speed and I need to be a lot faster than that which comes about 6.4mph. Right now, I am focusing on my endurance since I haven't really run a long distance after the last year's race. The race will be at the end of April. It is not like your zombie race which sounds fun.

Day 2: Numbers, numbers
Even though I exercised a lot yesterday, my wt is still up since I ate more than I should. Today I was going to not exercise at all but I need to burn off some calories from yesterday and today's lunch buffet I will be going after church.
Plan: 1) Strength Training - Run 1M to warm-up, Cathe STS C, S & Tri then 20 min elliptical w/ no resistance
2) Nutrition - limit to 2 plates of food at the buffet, concentrating meat and veg, and only one ice cream serving.
My TDEE is 2,000 and that's what I'm aiming for today.
3) Daily walk w/ my 4 legged friend - 3M
Update: 1) ST - finished as planned. 20 pounds DB used for chest which was increased from 15, burned 449 cal total. Most of all, I was happy after this exercise
2) Nutrition - didn't go to buffet. But had meatballs, garlic bread, and ice cream sundae for lunch. Daily total came up about 3300. BAD!!!
3) only walked 2.5 milesLast edited by Min125; 02-11-2013 at 10:19 AM. Reason: Update

Looks like you have a great plan for the day. I always have a hard time when i eat away from home. Everything someone else cooks looks so yummy.
Good luck with your race training. I have not ran a race any longer than 5 miles in years.
Hope you and your buddy have a nice walk tooDaily Journal

Day 3: Enjoy but know when to stop
I got up late this morning watching the 'walking dead' and staying late. It was weird that I slept until 7AM. I must have been tired. Haven't had a good night sleep for awhile.
It is rainy and will be raining all day. I tend to eat more when the weather is not good.
Plan: 1) 10K training - run 32 min non-stop
2) nutrition - need to eat around 1500, portion control!
3) daily walk - 1.5M if weather permit
Update: 1) 10K training - couldn't run the whole 32 min. ran/walked 2.6 M in 30 min
2) nutrition - I shouldn't go grocery shopping where my favorite bakery is. I had sushi, special soup, bunch of stuff from bakery and diet dr. pepper for lunch. I couldn't calculate all the intake due to no info on these items. At least I didn't binge all day.
3) daily walk - walked 2M this morningLast edited by Min125; 02-11-2013 at 01:35 PM. Reason: Update

Day 4: No more guessing game
My wt has been same for 9 days. I gained about 3 pounds and thought it was water retention from salty food or monthly related bloat. Well, it turns out it's not. It is just plain wt gain from eating too much. Now on, I will be vigilante to measure and calculate how much I am eating. I try to avoid the food that I don't know the nutritional info.
Plan: 1) 10K training - 5.5M in 60 min (legs/glute soar from yesterday's wo, not a good sign for running but will try)
2) Nutrition - keep track everything goes into my mouth
3) daily walk - weather will be nice today so, going for a hike again in different trail, estimating about 4M
Update: 1) 10K trg - only 4.7M in 60 min. It was very hard to get start due to heaviness in the lower body. Ran about 3 miles and walked incline the rest
2) food - after coming back from trail walking, stopped at Chick-fil-A. NOOOOOOO! it was good but I couldn't stop eating after that. I kept eating everything in sight.
3) hiking - it turns out that this national park doesn't have hills as I expected. I only walked 1.5M and came home. Went to golf course and hit some golf balls for practice.Last edited by Min125; 02-12-2013 at 04:17 PM. Reason: update

I usually record it on Sunday and watch on Monday but I couldn't wait for this season to start. I was expecting a bigger, more exciting 1st episode for a new season. It was okay, I guess. It's like a very first episode of this show. I am not a zombie movie fan(I enjoyed the Tales of Crypt a long time ago.) so, I wasn't excited in the beginning. But my hubby insisted that it would be good so, I kept watching it and I like it now. Every episode made me wanting more... hehe
Hope this season is good as previous.

Day 5: Weakness
Nothing to say about my non-existing wt loss. It's all my weakness when it comes down to food. I love food but I hate it at the same time. I start listening to "the Beck Diet solution". I need to change my thinking.
Plan: 1) 10K training - speed run(need to catch up on mileage but don't want to run a long distance. also I am soar all over the body from wt training on Monday(still!) and Golf yesterday. Couldn't sleep last night. I don't know how well I do on race training :-(( )
2) Nutrition - I just want to give up.
3) daily walk - 2M since it'll be raining in the afternoon
Update: 1) 10K trg - 10 times of interval (5mph & 7mph 1 min. each) total 5.2M in 60min, legs were still heavy but after did speed interval, I felt better and walked incline/jogged rest of distance
2) Food - Totals: Cal 1,562 C 171g F 54g P 101g
What??? I am amazed at myself that I ONLY ate this much. This is the lowest calorie intake in almost 2 months. I don't think I can do this again tomorrow since it is V-day. :-) However, I made candied ginger for my mom and didn't eat any(other than 1/2 tsp size of it for tasting.)
3) Daily walk - we were lucky to get 1.5M this morning. It was snowing(only flurry) on the back from walk and it turned to rain and still raining. So, I walked on the treadmill for another 3M while watching TV.Last edited by Min125; 02-13-2013 at 05:28 PM. Reason: Update

LOL
Girl i got the zombie burn out too. Almost any movie or tv show that even says that or even worse vampires i run screaming. I have always like The Walking Dead because the store line was good from the start but like you this first show to me was lacking.
I wanted to do the Zombie 5K Run only becasue it was something different and i was hoping it would motivate me to keep on my fitness goalsDaily Journal

Day 6: Love is in the air!
Yes, I smell food, very lovely :-). I just had my breakfast. Hubby made spinach and egg souffle and it was YUMMY! He made this before on my B-day but this time, it came out better than 1st even though he messed up a couple steps. I wanted to eat the whole thing but only ate one little plateful. Got to save some calories for dinner. I already wo this morning(before breakfast) and am thinking about doing another cardio session before dinner.
Plan: 1)10K training - 3M easy run
2) Nutrition - limit to 2K calories if possible
3) daily walk - very nice weather again even though it was snowing last night. 3M should satisfy my furry friend (she was grumpy 'cuz she didn't get her 2nd walk yesterday due to rain)
Update: 1) 10K trg - my 2nd cardio before dinner didn't happen. only 1.3M jogging before breakfast
2) Nutrition - couldn't really measure so it's not accurate. Total cal 2,345, but i think it's more like 3,000
3) daily walk - 4M tired!Last edited by Min125; 02-15-2013 at 05:30 AM. Reason: Update

Day 7: Burn, baby Burn!
Today is WI--->159.8 finally it's below 160. I know it's only 0.2 different but I will take it. In Jan, I was aiming at 149.8 for my goal but I realize I wasn't doing so good as I planned so, I revised the goal(159.8) and I attained it w/ all the food I ate yesterday. But my BF % is up. I blame the banana Foster I had yesterday.:-(
Plan: 1) 10K training - 10K run in 70min
2) Nutrition - try 2 meals again(I had 2 meals yesterday-one small then large meal at dinner)

Day 8 & 9: Family & Food
I didn't plan ahead for the weekend. Sat & Sunday, I visited my family. Whenever I drive to see my family, I snack a lot but this time, I didn't eat anything at all on the way there. My mom always cook something delicious and waits for my husband & I to get there. Driving 3 hours makes me hungry all the time even though I don't even drive. I weighed 157.8 lbs Sat morning and ran 2.5 M before the trip because I couldn't say 'no' to my mom's cooking or eating out with all my family. Of course, I ate everything they offered me and some. I felt so full last night and got up this morning feeling guilty & heavy from all the food I ate. Then I started eating again as soon as I got up. On the way back, we stopped at BK for Double Stacker & fries. My hubby and I don't eat at the fast food restaurants except when we drive back from my mom's house to our home.
It just has been a bad weekend for me to control my eating. I'm scared to see my wt tomorrow morning. I need to be good...
