That was pretty much the price range I was thinking. I think I will start it at $400 and see what happens. Columbus is surrounded by a ton of rich suburbs with people that love to blow money. I bet I can sell it to some kid with his parents money pretty easy.

Well I got the rack all finished and it sold day 1 on craigslist for $400. I paid 175 for two commercial flat benches and that rack, so now I am moving on to finish the benches. The upholstery is my biggest hangup so far, but I know I will need to learn how to do it to really make money in this game so I may test it out this weekend.

Now I am selling my Body Masters Row and Arm Curls to free up some space and hopefully making a great profit. Besides a GHD and an adjustable decline bench, any pieces you guys would suggest?

You are the man at craigslist flipping!

I just bought a rack that I would consider superior to that one for $200.

You just sold a used rack for $400 when a brand new Powerline rack can be had for $350 or less!

Keep doing what you do. Great Work!

Had a really busy weekend. The Nutrition store I run owns a bodybuilding show called The Buckeye Classic that was this past weekend and it just so happened to be my girlfriends first figure show. She ended up winning her novice short class and the novice overall. So after some celebrating Saturday night we rewarded ourselves Sunday with some new stuff for the gym.

Picked up some fixed barbells 20-120 and rack from a gym about 20 minutes away.

I needed another plate tree and found this one. Really well built and I like the look.

Someone already sent me a pm with that site. I am going to keep my eye on it and see what kind of prices things go for. For the next couple months I am going to reduce my purchasing of equipment so I can put a nice down payment on a truck so I have to control the addiction. Once I get my truck, I will be right back into buying anything and everything that I want for my gym or can flip for a nice stack of cash.

I have put the gym on hold for the last 2 months basically. I competed at my first show in the NPC Mike Francois Classic in the Men's physique division yesterday so I have been focused on dieting and training for a while. Now that I have carbs back in my brain I will be back in the equipment game and improving my gym.

    Word.
I actually didn't know yet at the time I posted that since I didn't place top 5. 9-10 weeks ago my trainer Mike Francois told me to do his show so I decided it would be a good challenge. I placed 16th out of 22. I was very humbled by the size and leanness of the guys I competed against. I am terrified of crowds and stages so my posing and stage presence definitely lost me some points. I went into it with the goal of doing the best that I could on short notice and gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible so I can hopefully train competitors in the future. Overall it was a great experience other than my girlfriend and I almost killing each other several times over the last 4 months. She placed 3rd at this show.

That gorilla to my right in the green trunks won the show. (no racist)

Just had two incredible bars dropped off by the owner of Bandbell Jim Seitzer. The bandbell Bamboo bar and the new Bandbell Earthquake bar. I had a really serious injury a few years ago and the original Bandbell Bamboo Bar was one of the most important tools I had to help rebuild overall full body strength. It also sped up the recovery of my injury strengthening my wrist and forearms. Now that I am 90% back to normal, I still use this bar for just about every exercise imaginable. The flexible bamboo combined with plates hanging from elastics creates some insane energy that you must work against to stabilize and control the bar.

Today’s Bandbell Bamboo Bar, the one being sold and used all over America by professional sports teams, college athletic programs and personal trainers everywhere, is an ongoing story about the evolution of a truly remarkable training concept. What started out in 2006 as just a broomstick with two kettle bells hanging from a pair of mini-bands, the Bandbell Bar has evolved through five prototypes to become the incredibly strong, kinetic-energy dynamo that it is today. This unique, hand-made Bar weighing only 5.4 lbs, can routinely handle weights in excess of 200 lbs everyday - all day long. And it does its job with the utmost precision: conducting and targeting kinetic energy to the shoulders, elbows, biceps and lower back to heal and strengthen the stabilizing muscles and allow for healthy joint function.

The fiberglass center-section of the Bar was specially designed by engineers to be incredibly strong, yet efficient enough to conduct the healing energy generated by using a mere 10 pound weight. This makes the Bandbell Bar the most sophisticated rehab tool available for post-op surgery patients and those suffering from newly-injured joints. But, for athletes and everyday workout enthusiasts, the benefits are simply amazing. The Bar literally bullet-proofs the joint by building maximum strength, balance and, above all, flexibility like no other piece of equipment on earth. This makes it the number one ‘go-to’ apparatus for preventative injury training or prehab.

The newest entry into the Bandbell line is the Earthquake Bar. This kinetic juggernaut is perfectly suited for heavy lifters and is designed to do the work of steel. It’s great for heavy benches, box squats and even rack deadlifts. Of course, it can also function as a ‘daily driver’ and offer the same benefits as the Bamboo Bar.

Though originated and developed by Jim Seitzer, contributions by his training partners and the great Lou Simmons, have helped in the advancements that make the Bar what it is today. It is with the greatest appreciation to these guys that we offer the Bar to the world of sports.
    Nothing is impossible.

Went to go check out some equipment today. Had my eye on what looked to be some nice adjustable utility benches. Those ended up being garbage but I found this little surprise. Paid $150 for this GHR. It is from Barry's barbells. Not as incredible as some of the ones that are regularly posted but i am happy with it. I recently got a storgage facility and am considering buying up the rest of the machines and equipment that they had.

    Nothing is impossible.

Thanks guys. I think I am about to seal the deal on my best craigslist score yet. A local high school is clearing out the football weight room and the sellers don't seem to have an understanding of the value of the equipment. Cybex chest press, Cybex Fly, Cybex abdominal, Leg extension and lying leg curl, 3 half racks, multiple adjustable benches and some colorful Hampton plates that I imagine could be worth some money. I am just waiting to hear back that the Athletic director approved everything. If all goes well i will be buying all of that and the highschool football team will be moving it to my storage facility lol.

I think these are the ones.

I wondered that also. I didn't notice until I got it back to my gym. It still works just fine without them but I may look into adding some on in the future when I replace the foam rollers with something nicer.

Finalized the deal with the local high school. I am going to pick up everything tomorrow morning. I plan on selling my current Life fitness incline chest press because it has a huge footprint and then keeping the new cybex one. I haven't decided about the abdominal and fly. I should be able to make a nice profit from this load. Ended up getting for $500:
Multiple huge heavy duty DB racks
Big selection of York Db's and other misc db's
    Captains chair
6 black heavy adjustable utility benches
2 yukon adjustable heavy utility benches

    Cybex Chest press

    Cybex Fly

    Cybex Abdominal
    Nothing is impossible.

Yes, they aren't necessary. The upper rollers keep your ankles from going up, which keep you from hitting the ground. I'd say the move is more comfortable with the bottom rollers though, as its easier to lock your leg in place...but I think this is largely psychological.

They decided to keep the half racks, leg extension, leg curl and there is still a chance that I can get the Hamptons. The guy I am dealing with told me that the AD of the school thinks that they need them when really they have plenty of plates so he thinks he may change his mind. I may not be able to get everything tomorrow, but I will get pics up as soon as I get everything.

I completely agree with Keetman. It is more comfortable with the bottom rollers, but without them I think it really forces you to drive your toes into the footplates. I used it for a while yesterday and my hams are destroyed from it.

I went and paid for the equipment today and was a little disappointed to find out that I was not getting all that I thought I was getting for the $500. I haven't figured out if the guy purposely mislead me in emails but I made it very clear what I thought I was purchasing for $500 and he agreed. Basically 1 db rack when I thought I was getting 3, 2 broken benches when I thought I was getting 5 nice benches and two broken ones, only got half of the db's(AD decided to keep the Yorks that I was really excited for to complete my set.)Only ended up paying $450 because I wasn't happy about the mix up Anyways I still got a lot of good stuff. Cybex abdominal, Cybex Chest press, Cybex fly, huge db rack, Nice captains chair, 350-400 pounds of pro style db's then some funky ones with huge chrome heads, Two Yukon adjustable benches with damaged pads. My Droid has been terrible lately and didn't properly save the pictures I took today so I only have one. Picking up the rest of the machines on Sunday. I picked up a 10 X 15 storage unit so that I can keep my gym clean and buy more equipment to refurbish and sell. I also bought another tool for my equipment business that you can see below. Never have to borrow a truck again. This was the biggest bottleneck in my operation. Now I will never miss a good purchase because I couldn't get a truck in time. I am looking into small trailers also so the heavier machines can be wheeled up a short ramp easily.
