I got the idea online but changed the measurements a bit to suit me better. Use the thickest gauge, most expensive PVC pipe you can get. Still much cheaper than buying one. Very easy to make too. Tools you need: hacksaw, tape measure. Materials: PVC cement, PVC pipes.

Thanks for the comments! I ran out of blue paint so I gotta go to the city on Sunday to get some more Didn't expect that it will take 3 weeks to finish a project Hahaha. Got busy with farm stuff like finishing up on the truck scale and building a 3 car garage - just starting on this. zso my gym is a mix of DIY stuff and some nicer store bought stuff There's just some things that are not available here like a "real" GHD that i really really want even though I'm still learning to do GHRs - so hard. Will post finished power cage pics before Christmas! :P

It is done! And now for the tour....
Full shot first, I chose black and blue color. Very standard rack - I didn't put round pull up bars because I already have pull up station on my cable crossover. Inside dimensions - 28" x 45" total height 88"
It is bolted to the floor. I chose the open back design with posts so I can compensate for unevenes of the floor. My bench also has a very low bottom area so this works better.
DIY hooks.
It is all welded! No bolts here. This is the weld plate to reinforce.
Solid stainless shafting 50" with GI pipe sleeve. What's that behind? Dip bars just finished painting.
Number stickers I got made from the mall. I was going to paint the numbers on but I remembered I don;t write too well

Thanks! That was one of my inspirations, along with the other DIY racks. It's quite tough - 1/8" thickness about 2" x3"
Overall, its very simple to make and assemble. The problem we encountered was with the holes. If you don't have the proper equipment, don't even try it. I eventually took it out to a shop to have them finish drilling the holes!

I like them a lot.
The bench is much better than my old Marcy. The height is perfect for me - Marcy is too high when I'm doing presses, My feet are awkward. The movement is smooth and The 3 seat pad positions are helpful. My ass sometimes slides off from the old bench when sitting upright.
The cable cross over I got is a bit narrower than the standard commercial equipment but it is made to the same material specifications. The width is okay for doing everything you expect from a regular crossover. The weight stack included for the price I paid is better value vs body solid, etc. available here. Pulleys are smooth. The adjustable pulley height though is a bit stiffer than more expensive brands.
Overall - Great value for its price, delivery to my farm for free.Last edited by Thefarmer; 12-22-2011 at 05:26 PM.

Lechon time!!!
here is the cost breakdown:
3 pieces 2 x 3 tubular - P6,450
2 pieces 50" stainless shafting - P2,000
various drill bits - P6,000 (still usable for other projects)
other materials (welding rods, grinding disks, paint) - P1,200
shop labor - P900
Total P16,550
We managed to drill up to 3/4" holes by ourselves and the shop did the 1-3/16" holes.
Have to work will post more details later

Thanks!
Yup thats Philippine Pesos. $380 might seem a bit high but about $120 of it is in drill bits. I forgot to mention that the small metal plates and pipes are from my scrap pile. The excess tube steel somewhat balances out what I took from the scrap pile.
I'm really glad I had one built instead of buying because the locally made ones we have here cost about P24,000 and the steel gauge and measurements are not to my specifications. The imported ones are rare and WAY overpriced.
