Gaspari MyoFusion Or Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein

Hey guys, I have been looking into getting myself a protein as a post work out supplement.
Im trying to gain muscles and strength by the end of February 2012.
Im actually using the 12 week hardcore transformation by Kris Gethin.
However Im quite stuck in the middle on which to buy Gaspari MyoFusion Or Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein.
Can someone help me out and let me know which serves me better!

I have used both, several bags/tubs and for some time, here is my opinion.

I currently use MyoFusion, and only MyoFusion.

My reasoning is this. I had no issues with ON, the product mixes well, gives me fast whey proteins, prices about the same, etc. I tried a protein blend and loved it. I prefer the blends due to the multiple speeds of the protein digestion. I will personally only use a blend any more. I tried MyoFusion and loved it as well. I prefer the texture (a little more shake-like, where-as ON whey can be pretty thin), I prefer the taste, and I prefer the usefulness.

Either protein will help you get protein in your body to meet macro's, but I am sold on MyoFusion. Hope my opinion/reply helped.

Yeah it did helped. Im also considering Myofusion. Im not too sure about it's taste but it has a pretty decent review. ON whey's protein shake is abit blend and doesn't taste too good!

Both brands have whey protein in them. MyoFusion also has slow absorbing protein; it does not only have slow absorbing. You could eat steak after your workout, you will not notice the difference between a steak and whey.

This is what I notice the major differences are:

ON: Bland, Thin shake, Fast absorbing, mixes well.
Gaspari: Taste is much better, shake is much better texture, fast and slow absorbing, mixes just as good (okay, it has casein, so maybe it takes an extra 2 seconds).

Thanks for the support guys. Myofusion really does taste amazing and since supplemental protein has much the same effect on muscle growth, why not use a protein that tastes as good as possible?

erm what i meant is that the body absorbs Myofusion slower as compared to ON Whey. And it is important that we take post workout supplement immediatetly. So i was wondering if choosing Myofusion over ON will affect my recovery?

hes trying to say its a blend of fast/slow proteins. so no it wont having any differences recovery wise

(I know taste is subjective....but I was so excited about how good the others tasted, I was hoping vanilla would be equally as good) Ever heard this feedback?....

BTW>.....chocolate is AWESOME....which is why I have 3 tubs on hand at any one time.

The only knock i have against Myofusion is that when i blend it, it mixes SOOOO thick....and i like to add fruits, ice cream and stuff into my shakes...with myofusion, i really could only add ice and 1 fruit or my blender wouldnt blend it because of 1 scoop of myofusion it made the shake so thick.

Just to put it out there, I wasn't a big of the chocolate myofusion, but have thoroughly enjoyed the vanilla so far. Add a half scoop to my coffee every morning, tastes great.

I went through over 100lbs of ON Whey (and 10+ tubs of Casein) then tried Myofusion banana perfection and will never go back.

When I was a fat kid I used to DESTROY Rally's banana milkshake, Myofusion tastes just like I remember those shakes.

I can find myo for ~$35 shipped on almost a regular basis, even cheaper at times. I haven't even considered ON in quite a while so I can't say for sure but last time I checked it was ~$45.

I think the issue is that our vanilla flavor is very sweet and tastes more like butterscotch then actual vanilla --- Some people absolutely love it (its a top seller), but a small sector of people hate butterscotch and are turned off. I like it in oatmeal or mixed with some coffee, and to keep it on hand to switch things up, but it really shines if the shake is really cold, as opposed to lukewarm water and kinda thick

All you have to do is add some more water - I make shakes all the time with myofusion, specifically "Alec's Anabolic Shake" which is 4 tbsp peanut butter, 1 scoop myofusion chocolate, 4 ice cube and 16oz water

blend that thing up before bed... its so good and an easy and delicious 450 calories before bed

mixing with coffee is the best! Look at what I do on the weekends (dont have time to do this during the week usually, and its at my girls house)

Better IMO. It's more smooth and creamy as opposed to myo which is more thick and rich. It's kind of like milk chocolate vs dark chocolate.

its a bit smoother then regular myofusion, and the chocolate flavor is similar, although a touch more chocolately i think

I think you hit the nail on the head. I HATE butterscotch and thinking back, it did kind of have that taste. For me it was almost too sweet.
