Abs are easier to get with a lower body fat percentage
If you want to get some size on them, add a weighted ab exercise so they grow
Repetitive ones like p90x ab ripper will get them active for sure, but they can only get you so farAiming for dat Thick, Solid, Tight Back.

I don't even know how to answer that.
Do both? Cardio burns calories, but so do muscles? So get both muscle mass and do cardio?
If you had to do one or the other to lose weight, cardio would be the better of those two....
Sorry, I can't really quantitatively tell you anything more than that. Would need someone who knew a little more about nutritional science but also has a tolerance to not such greatly phrased questions..★★★ Thick. ★★★
★★★ Solid. ★★★
★★★ Tight. ★★★

Cardio would burn about double per time in the gym, but after the gym your BMR's up from the weights, not really the cardio.
Also since beginners can recomp, you would benefit more from weightlifting as you would lose some fat while building a bit of muscle, and muscles becoming more full for sure which would lower bf%
But overall, both would benefit you more than choosing one.
and as m4ttarama said, work your abs still just because you can't see them."If death is victory; how afraid of life can we be?"
"In order to be brave or courageous, you must first be consumed with fear, for a person who is not afraid cannot be brave."

you will have abbs at the 200.000th sit up. trust.
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity , answered "Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."
