i remember seeing a show on discovery channel awhile back that was about some prehistoric animal, some lizard actually that started out on land, and one day took to the ocean, where it had no real threats. the thing grew into a monster which was over 100 feet long. head alone was 15 feet long, maybe 5 feet across. straight up sea monster that dominated the food chain in the ocean for millions of years. they are extinct now, but at one point in time, were the top predator in the ocean
imagine having to worry about that..Merica

do not feel comfortable stepping on rocks, may be a stone fish
do not feel comfortable stepping in sand, friend got stung by stingray
do not feel comfortable going out too far, because sharks
do not feel comfortable because the water is cold
do not like to swim in beds of seaweed
do not like the fish
but i had a dream where i was at the bottom of the ocean swimming and just chilling, and there were sharks but they didn't bother me they just did their own thing. i would try to avoid the big ones though

visited croatia in 2010, found a beautiful beach, me and my mates wen't swimming and tried to go as far as possible into the open water, though 15m or 20m away from the shore was this huge field of sea weed underneath me, i touched it with my feet, felt like a hand grabbing my ankle, brb anxiety attack, swam fast as **** back to the shore and played it off cool
, never again lolಠ_ಠ

Really depends what location.....Nice clear beach i don't care. If its kinda murky and cold i dont go past my dick. If its way out in the sea i only go in with others. as far as scuba diving that s cool with me. but northeast beaches suck dick cold as ****, sea weed and rocky as **** mad crabs..wind chill...i hate it
