I'm wondering if anyone has any tips about cutting with a relatively high amount of carbs?
When I typically cut, I keep protein high and keep fat moderate, then drop the carbs to get a calorie deficit. However, in doing this, I also tend to slow down my metabolism a lot. I'm now wondering if this is the smartest idea...Is it just a matter of finding that balance so you're not dropping carbs too low and maybe doing some cardio to keep the balance?

I typically cut on about 300-400 carbs, you can check out my log in my sig.
The main important thing is just cals in VS cals out.
Do what easiest for you though, some people do low carb with refeeds and some just do high carb days on workouts days, match your diet do your daily activity type thing..

Three years of trial and error have finally led me to believe that carbs don't fuking make you fat. Eat as they are delicious. Keep track of calories and protein and make sure your micros are on point if you can. Eat 500cals under maintenance. You'll drop 1lb a week. With high protein, your strength should remain the same and muscle loss will be extremely minimal - you'll probably only lose a couple reps on some workouts. Others will stay the same, and some will go up. Ta-dah.
I'm a bitch.

These coupled with Syntha 6 just makes for a bad day, just FYI ... Although, I was completely regular down to within 5 minutes for a solid 2 weeks.
As for the carbs... they aren't the devil... Eat them at will. Its cals vs cals when it comes to weightloss... The macroing is just for ensuring your body still gets its proper percentages for the other things you want to accomplish.5/3/1 BBB V2 LOG: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163430781
