Karma doesn't require a deity and is humanly possible.
eg I see someone being a jerk to another and so am a jerk to them.
Maybe it's more aligned to human understanding than a supreme being who wants you to do things because He wants you to do it
edit: I guess I don't understand the supernatural part of karma but the concept of doing good and having good happen to you is easier to accept. I prefer it over doing what another man says just because he says some supreme being would want me to. Even if this supreme being exists how come it only speaks to this priest and not talk to me directly?Last edited by Drhunglow; 12-09-2011 at 01:05 PM.

People who believe in Karma are kind of a different beast because they are usually passive and most often the type of people who believe in Karma are also the type of people who believe in Horoscopes so its almost pointless to attack them because they aren't super into it or anything and are just following their intuition of what is right and wrong and this is how they know to describe it/express it. Compared to Christians who are more about actively imposing/spreading their ideas, control, and are a more aggressive class of belief.
But its not like Karma and Horoscopes are real either so...Last edited by TurboGodzilla; 12-09-2011 at 11:06 AM.

That is so because many so called atheists became such because they were pissed off by incredibly stupid and annoying uber christians.
They aren't reserved towards religious ideas in general, just against christianity. Which is as moronic as the other, but who cares?
Stupids gonna stupid, one of the major living wisdoms.

Nothing more?
You realize it comes from Buddhism right?
Furthermore you realize you can kill someone in a dark forest and if nobody finds out you did it then there isn't necessarily a consequence or punishment. Nothing is real, everything is permitted. Even a video game can tell you that.
Its based out of fear that they are reacting like that. They are afraid of the big bad world and the idea that someone can do something and not be held accountable. The same root issues Christians are afraid of exept its not as complexly expressed and formulated.
Humans notice patterns, and they have this intuition that when people do good things, good things tend to happen, and when people do bad things, bad things tend to happen. But its at the point where you go from, "this is what usually tends to happen" to "this is the law of the universe and how things play out, Karma is gonna get you" that you become illogical.
At this point sound reasoning and critical thinking cease to play a part in your mental function and you are using your emotions and intuitions and thinking like a bitch.

Intelligent atheists are typically not hostile towards any religion, they understand the impact of ethnocentrism and merely reject the notion that a specific god (ie Allah) and the associated stories are factual -- a better description for these people is agnostic. It's the people who want to APPEAR intelligent that give atheists a negative reputation. They haven't come to this conclusion themselves, therefore only sound retarded when trying to argue for it, and when called out get hostile.
As for atheists agreeing with karma: karma isn't a religion, it's an idea. It's pretty obvious that if I were to do nothing but good things in my life, good things would happen to me in turn, and same for bad things. Of course bad things will still happen, but I increase my odds of positive reciprocation by putting myself in ideal situations."Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and **** the prom queen."

I could have said either from Buddhism or Hinduism, or any other of the many sub religions that practice Karma. Did you know that? You corrected me like as if you were dumb enough to think Hinduism is the only one that teaches Karma?
Second of all what if a guy kills someone and DOESNT have trouble sleeping at night. Does that invalidate the whole idea of Karma?Last edited by TurboGodzilla; 12-09-2011 at 11:31 AM.
