    USPS lost my package

I bought a flywheel on ebay that was advertised to fit my car.. it ended up not fitting my car. The package it came in was beat up as fuk, but it worked and i had nothing else to mail it back in, so i just taped it up really good and paid 17.50 to ship it back..

Well USPS lost it like 2 days in, its been almost 3 weeks since I mailed it and it says its in jacksonville.

I called USPS and waited on hold for customer service for like 25 min, told them what happened and someone called me a day later and i explained what happened. They said i could fill out a missing parcel notice, which i did, about 5 days ago.

Nothing has happened, my item is gone it still says its in jacksonville on the delivery confirmation tracking number, apparently i didnt pay for insurance.

shipping was 17.50 and they wont even refund the shipping on the item they lost/stole?

    wtf can i do?

Item was about 70$, 25 lb flywheel, shipping 17.50 with no insurance.

Cant seem to get the actual phone number of the jacksonville post office where it was last seen, i only get the national customer service and they supposedly send my missing parcel report to the specific office?

    fukin bastards

Unless you had insurance on it, your ****ed . My dad ordered some super expensive rims for his road bike and the package came all beat to **** from USPS and the rims were bent upon delivery. He went to the USPS office and they basically told him unless you have insurance, too bad. IDK how they can get away with that bull****

And this is why you don't use USPS to ship things over $25.
