Hey everyone, has anyone had/has gynecomastia during puberty between the age of 16-18?
If you did how did you get rid of it or do you still have it? And also how long have you had it?

Common enough, check the wikipedia entry
I didn't have it bad cause I was lean as a stick in my teens but I did get swollen glands that I found pretty embarrassing, maybe for 18-24months
Try not to let it get you down, it's easy to be really self-conscious in your teens but honestly no-one is noticing or judging you on even 5% of the stuff you're worrying about

What the devil kind of health insurance do your parents have that is not a family plan? I'd investigate further, because I can't believe anyones work would offer a plan that wasn't family. Does their insurance only cover them alone and they have seperate policies? If so they're nuts not buying supplemental insurance on you.

It's all about how the question was asked. If he is under his parents insurance, and they said no.... it may have been perceived as cosmetic. Make an appointment for a physical with your physician. Bring your concern up to him. Medical facilities have a fancy way of getting money from insurance companies when they stand to make money.

You clearly didn't understand my question, all i'm asking is if you had gyno when you was my age did it go away by itself or did you have to have surgery? simple question.
If you're wondering, Yes! i did go to my doctor to see what he would say about it. He said that i should wait to see if it goes away by itself rather than go right into surgery, it maynot go away its a 50/50 chance.
just wanted to hear someones experience with gyno when they were my age, I'm not looking for some sort of 'secret trick' to get rid of it.

Did you try milking them?
Actually when i drank a lot of beer my jugs got fatty looking. I think alcohol can cause that to a degree in the long run but it's mostly served to people who take chemicals to get big.
Although there are the certain body types like you have. I bet you have a endomorph body type which is a heavy set person.
Or your genetics could have just gave you pointy nipples. It might not have anything to do with this Gynecomastia because I think that's a fatty buildup under the nipple. If your nipples are pointy then that's a genetic gift from your genes.
If i were you I'd do squats, bench and deadlifts so you can beat up people who make fun of them. if they even dare to mess with you.

I think I already answered the OP in the teen section - no idea why I was there - but there are two types of gyno-looking conditions:
Actual Gyno - swelling of the glandular tissue under the nipple
Psuedo-gyno - adipose tissue buildup under the nipple
Not sure how to tell one from the other without a dr.'s help.
I had/have pseudo-gyno in one nipple when my BF goes above a certain point. When I get leaner, it's not noticeable.
If you're not covered on insurance, I doubt you'll be able to afford any help from the medical field - for that reason, try to get leaner and see what happens. No shoes, no shirt, and I still get service.
