Trying to LOSE & WIN and new body!
Hello this is my first blog on here so I won’t waist time so here goes.
I am mainly trying to lose body fat and tone my whole body up better, not really buff but tight!
I have been going to to the gym since Aug of 06 but I would say I have been really dedicated for the last 2 months. I try to go 4-5 times a week (and yes Charis I took a night off to rest). I have gottten a few great tips on how to lower my body fat. I do alot of cardio at least 45-min to an hour. I haven’t been doing alot of heavy weights anymore. I lowered the amount of weights I lift and time I spend on them, got this fear of looking like a bulky line backer. I know I would have to lift a hella lot of weights to look like that but all it took was one person saying DAMN girl lay off those weights your arms freaking huge. So I got this complex now, I know I gotta get over it.
My b/f says I will burn more fat with weights…so I am going to try to dedicate myself to try to do more.(not sure if this is his way or a myth)
Anyway, this is me..a little unsure at times about my body and willing to listen to any positive suggestions.

if anyone told me to lay off the weights i'd ask them why they were so intimidated! what's your diet looking like right now? do you have a set meal plan or are you just eating healthier?

Hi and welcome to the boards!
Don't worry about lifting weights, you won't look like a linebacker!
Diet is extremely important! As the above person said, you should post your diet and get some comments, it really helps!

I am "trying" to eat less carbs more green veggies and I have given up soda almost completely, I know almost dosen't count!! I drink the hell out of water, feel like I am pissing every 20 minutes. I eat lean beef, chicken, fish & turkey. But of course I have't ever really been a junk food junkie, I am not big on sweets.
Carbs are my weakness, I love me some bread!! That is my battle right there!

do you find you have less energy now with the lower carbs or are you supplementing with something?

I don't have less energy, I'm still eating about 40-45% of my calories from Carbs so I'm fine. I think it's the extreme low carb diets that cause that.

OK so far so good...I think..
First of all just to let people know I am very random...with that said..
OK so I have been increasing my weights to 50 pds., so plus the bar, that's 45 pds for a "pathetic" 95 pds. to bench. I have been doing free weights also. Increasing as I lift, random weight's 15 to 35 pds various curls ect. working them in between my breaks from benching, keeping the heart rate up.. I'm not real technical about all the correct "lifting lingo" but I know what I am talking about...any questions I can clarify for you. I put in about 35-45 minutes of cardio, giving it everything I have, switching up the cardio I do from tread mill, elliptical, bike.."I think you get it", Did some elliptical tonight. Doing really good with my diet, watching what I eat, more greens, less & less carbs, if I do, I try to eat whole wheat. I miss my white bread; I might treat myself this weekend with some!! Didn't feel like eating tonight after the gym, too late now I suppose so I just drank alot of water. ( I know I know this is bad but I had 3 small meals today so not so bad). I am not leaving out the lower extremities I am giving those an all around work out...I HATE SQUATS!!! enough said they hurt and they are on the bottom of my list! I like doing leg curls!!! FEEL THE BURN!! Well I feel like there is more I am leaving out but I am to tired to type this **** again, I already had to re-type this cause I skipped to the next page then back again and lost it once and I can't remember everything I wrote the first time.....and to freaking tired to try. If I do remember I will...not holding my breath but there is pain all over my body" good thing" probably cause I took Friday and Sunday off, I did go Saturday. I was just to tired to post it but my ass was in the gym huffing & a puffing. No pain no gain right??? Oh yeah I hope to be posting some before" pics soon. I am scared to, still debating. I think it might help encourage me if everyone saw my love gut....
Hollar with any tips, advise...ect...I have an open ear to anything! AND I love advice & I will use it!

you're so funny, i like the way you write
it's never too late to eat (you knew i was going to pick that out too, i bet ) - have SOMETHING ready for yourself when you get home, even it's a protein bar (better than nothing - just try to keep the sugar low) or just a simple protein shake - The Vitamin Shoppe has good products and i think there are some in your area - i know there's one in cary near me and one at southpoint mall. anyway, good job on the cleaner eating and workouts and weights - do you have anyone spotting you when you do your bench presses or are you using the smith machine when you do them? we need to do legs together sometime so i can see how you're doing your squats - they should not hurt in a bad way, maybe leave those out for now and focus on your hammie curls and leg presses, LUNGES , etc. you're doing great though!

I knew you would say that...yeeeessss I will not do that again. I will eat no matter what but in my defense I was not all that hungry...
I am a punk tonight I had alot of crap to take care of, Tyler is getting reassigned and I was just too pissed about the whole school thing and it's a freaking year round!!! Oh well I guess that's what happens when people keep having more & more & more freaking kids.....some people should be forced to plug it up!!
Anyway I get off the subject when I am pissed...
I had this guy spot me, no worries there....I might be putting to much weight on my squats, sometimes my back hurts alot so will lighten my load.
Yeah I will work on the LUNGES....I guess I will have to lean to love them like you said....
Just not having a real good week, forgetting alot of things, losing stuff, the whole school thing with Tyler and the new job...kinda feeling wacko this week...(other than the norm). My b/f will probably come home in an hour asking about the gym and make me go......SHIGOLEEWIZZ!!!(like my new word) I know I need to it will probably me feel better. OK I will post my work out later...I talked myself into it......maybe...
Does anyone know why little kids sing and talk while taking a crap??? I can't for the freaking life of me figure out why my son does this. It's like a Broadway show going on in there...oh the drama........geezzz
OK I'll stop now I probably grossed a few people out.
Hollar with any tips...
Sincerley
Confushious and concerned....

i'm not sure why kids sing and poop. i don't think i ever did. i just wanted to get the whole ordeal over with as quickly as possible because i was always convinced that a monster was going to come up out of the toilet hole and grab my ass and suck me down into the sewer system.
i had (have) an active imagination.
i don't understand the whole school reassignment thing and why parents get upset - maybe it's because i don't have a kid - but why do people get angry? does it cost more money or...???? i just don't know much about it.

A bit of both maybe? lol...I was more afraid to go to sleep then to poop. I had a wicked witch of the west doll that I thought would kill me in the middle of the night

tonka trucks are aight in my book too - actually, i liked dressing up as rambo and playing with those figurines more than i ever did with dolls or barbie. i had my little pony stuff too but rambo usually annihilated them.

Ok last night I lowered the amount of wgt's I did with squats and I am better, not hurting in a bad way, in a good way yes!! it's all good, I altered my stance and with the both of those I think it worked out well. I worked my lower body to death, legs hurting really bad trying to tone up these hammies..a.k.a. hamhocks..:-)
I didn't do any arm curls, free weights. I mainly concentrated on my legs and lots and lots of cardio, bike, elliptical... Did so many leg curls my leggs were wobbly when I was leaving....but's it's all gravy baby.. I am feeling good tonight, Tyler's basket-ball league kicked ass once again they are 8-1....had the other team cryin.(seriously some lil boys were crying)...I know it's not right to laugh but they killed them....Oh I am the crazy mom @ the games getting all serious about it!!! So my night was good.
Diet doing good too!! No worries there, had eggs for dinner tonight with whole wheat toast.

Tonight's work out...SQUATS, SQUATS AND MORE SQUATS!!!
Well tonight was not such a great night for me to work on my squats....(Charis, remember me telling you about fat girl landing on small girl story)....well I think I am aggravating my old injury from that past experience, if people don't know about it, in a nut shell a fairly large female was running, fell on me...(long story about the running thing) I was running too and...blah blah...she landed on me and all my body weight and her's on top of me landed on my right knee...on pavement...she cracked it.... losts of PAIN, lots of P.T.,.....OUCH it hurts so bad tonight, don't know why it's hurting again, been a long time since this has happened, maybe cause of the increased about of reps I do....(Charis did you know that guy Blaine @ work goes to my gym, meant to ask you that,.... ooooh about 2 months ago) ....anyway...just not a good night for squats...:-(
Cardio was ok did that for about 30 minutes, that was all I could stand, I stretched my arch today and was in alot of pain (wore the wrong shoes to work), diet still going great, no worries there, I am feeling good and strong with that.Didn't do free weights but I did bench press, lighter weights, had no spot...unless you count Mr. Creepy who likes me.....LOL, didn't want that kind of help......anyway.....I am freaking tired...need sleepy
I am going to go ahead and try that LIOP6 stuff. I need energy, also maybe a mulit-vitamin might not be a bad idea. Been drained lately...HOLLA
Gimmie some input....ANYONE!!!

heeeey....Mr. Creepy, huh? we have a few of those at our gym. i didn't know blaine goes to a raleigh gym - for some reason i was thinking he still went to the chapel hill one but i just remembered i also haven't asked him where he goes in about 6 years Does he workout hard??? he's so funny to talk with sometimes, he totally understands about slacking off at work .
maybe you shouldn't do anymore squats if they're irritating your injury...do leg presses hurt? oh- for the lipo 6 - if you haven't bought any already, let me know and i'll give you some of mine to try first. then if you like them you can order them online or get them from the Vitamin Shoppe if there's one near you -they will match bodybuilding.com's prices if you show them proof of the cheaper cost. don't go to gnc to get them! they jack the price up!
i wonder what it is with everyone feeling drained?? i hope there's not some weird ass virus going around. have you heard about that norvovirus or whatever its called?? travis planted about 50 cartons of clorox wipes or whatever all over the office.
ttyl!

I don't talk to Blaine much, he just every so often said how often to you go to the gym and **** like that..... He does seem to work out hard...he is built very nice!! He keeps busy he doesn't rest at all in the gym. I saw him there on Friday...I don't ever talk to him there, I try to stay focused, I hate being interrupted.
I haven't bought them yet,(Lipo6) but I did price them at GNC and they wanted like 60 bucks for them and it's way cheaper on Bodybuilding. I will check at the the Vitamin Shoppe, we got one here or maybe I will just go to the one in Cary, not to far of a drive anyway.
Haven't heard about any virus, I been feeling very healthy just drained, so I will try a multi-vitiamin.
I did more squats today and my knee hurt a little but I can work through it, when I started back running about 4 years ago I had to work through the pain with my knee but after a while it didn't bother me, I guess going back to harder things will take some time to get used to.
Leg press does not bother me I do them often too, I like to mix up things so I don't get bored....
Well I am pooped I had a long night last night...didn't go to bed until 5 this morning...(long story)...no time to explain....I do feel good but tired today....start my multi-vitiam tomorrow so hopefuly I will be feeling more alive
soon.. More about this jelly roll tomorrow...
