    Male, 17, 5'4, 138 lbs, 11%BF - lose fat percentage to 5%?

    I want to lose fats to get that defined muscles(six packs, etc) but I don't know if I am doing it correctly.

    My Stats: Male, 17, 5'4, 138 lbs, about 11%BF
    Daily Caloric Intake: 1800 - 1900
    I lift weights 1-2 times a week and HIIT 2 times a week.

    so should i be increasing my workouts or decreasing my caloric intake to drop my fat percentage to around 5%?

    you don't want to aiming for 5%, that is competition level. 8-10% and you will have a six pack.

    now is a good time to start bulking or recomping a while. pics to post? how'd you get your BF measurement? i'm around 13% at 142 lbs so that means you should have a similar build to me, only relatively ripped looking.

    can you see you abs at all because if you cant your bf isnt 11% its gonna be higher than you think

    can you post a pic?

    Hell, I'm 5 foot 5 inch, and at ~10% bodyfat, only weigh 116 pounds right now, have to hit 110 before I will have solid abs. Couldn't imagine how low you'd need to be, unless your a very built guy (I am fairly small/lean rather than muscled). Good luck non the less, and to answer your original question, calorie intake is fine, just have to wait. May take a couple months to drop to 8% or so, which is a healthy bodyfat percent, and still have abs.

    Yeah, definitely not 11%...and you definitely don't need to worry about going below 10-11% anyways.

    You need to worry about growing right now. Lift and eat a healthy diet...your body will do the rest...especially at your age.

    yea i see it a lot in my gym...these kids are willing to put in the work, but typically they just put in the work on bench press, tricep exercises and bicep curls...and when they get under the squat rack (not often enough for sure) the form is just DANGEROUS. but i remember high school...most typical question asked by the 'tough' guys....'how much can you bench?' ...and even then they'll count it as a rep if you bounce off your chest and lift your ass off the bench for some exaggerated arch.
