Great Day Ryou! Strong box squat with the 305 to the 12" box --- that's a big weight to driving up from a dead start out of the hole (glutes of steel )
And huge weight for the walk out --- 675 ..... that's 7pps"Better to wear out than rust out!"

i was late to squats. (no one really showed me how to do them right when i started)
the walkout has helped me feel comfortable under the bar.
its not for everyone and its not recommended everytime. but it has helped me

Sometimes I think "walkouts" for my bench would help. Srs. Sometimes my little weight feels really really heavy.

I like the idea of the walkouts .... because I've been doing most of my squatting lately at 225-245 to the box, when I do try to load the bar a bit more it always feels ridiculously heavy. The walkouts seem like a good way to get used to that feel. Mind you I doubt that I'd even be able to walkout under 4pps let alone putting 7pps across my shoulders
What type of pain do you get in your knee (eg lateral, patellar, in the knee itself) and is it there during the day sometimes or just when you're squatting?
Do you ever wear a brace or does any squatting stance/exercise make it worse? .....just comparing notes"Better to wear out than rust out!"
Squat 165kg/363lbs
Deadlift 190kg/418lbs

i dont think a 7p walkout is needed. just more like an ego lift.
but i do think a slight walkout is very beneficial as it lets you get accustomed to a higher weight than your squat
both knees click around parallel.
not too much pain but varying degrees of tension.
some days are great and some not so much.
i never wear wraps/braces and i stress squats with feet facing forward with very little turn-out
i almost never go wide-flared
the stance probably adds to it which is why i start really slow and access with each dayLast edited by RyouBakua; 01-30-2013 at 08:41 PM.
