Nothing, literally NOTHING is in the Spartans' favor.
Wisconsin dominated the stat sheet during the last game.
If it weren't for Wilson's 2 INTs (of 3 all season), a safety, a blocked punt, a blocked FG, and a hail mary...Wisconsin would have won by 3 TDs easily.
No home field advantage this time.
It's not about arrogance. It's about common sense.

1. every one of MSU's defensive starters was all big10 or honorable mention. they have the 3rd ranked defense in the country. of course they outplayed the rest of wisconsin's opponents.
2. special teams are part of a football game.
3. the hail mary wasn't to win the game, it was to win the game in regulation. they still could have won in overtime. and it was only necessary because wisc scored 14 points in the last 4 minutes in their own miracle finish.hi.

Actually, MSU has the 6th best defense in the country. You know who's 4th?
Wisconsin.

MSU won last time because of home field advantage, special teams flukes, and shitty refs. Period.
That won't happen again.

Wisconsin pounds teams 9 times out of 10 under Bielema when they pound the run down teams throats. They lose when they abandon the game plan and turn into a pass happy "try and look more fancy than we really are" outfit which is exactly what happened the first time these two teams played. Hopefully the bloated one hasn't suffocated his brain in even more layers of Krispy Kreme batter since then and can recognize what went wrong. Feed Ball 30-40 times this game, win. Simple as that.

wisconsin fans that think they lost twice on flukes are ****ing kidding themselves. you got completely worked against MSU. blocking kicks and missing FGs aren't flukes they are poor special teams plays. that was proved the next week when they ****ed up again against OSU on special teams.
turnovers aren't flukes they are being careless with the ball
blaming the officials for outcomes of games make you sound like a sore loser
maybe they are just so consistently average that they can't win big games

that's football bud. you could go through the losses for any team and put together a cute little list of what went wrong/how the game was won/why your team is still better/how the other team got lucky. it doesnt change anything, no team plays a perfect game. MSU deserved to win, Wisky did not
lets flip this around. In the first meeting Wisconsin allowed...
- A Safety
- A Blocked Punt
- A Blocked Field Goal
- A Double Reverse for a Touchdown
- A Touchdown on a Hail Mary
no way a team that makes that many mistakes wins the game
I think MSU is the team that will come out motivated and play like a bees nest. They were the ones who should have been in Pasadena last year with OSU's cheating and MSU's win over Bucky. This year MSU defeats the Badgers again and all anyone can talk about is how much better Wisconsin STILL is than MSU and how the spread is 10 points. The MSU defense is awful good and if they all get motivated they most certainly can win tonighthi.
