How to make a car deadlift frame?
"We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time." -- T.S. Eliot.

you can buy square beams or pipes at home depot. buy 4 or 5 of them 5' long about 3-4'' wide. take 2 of them and dont cut them. they will be the the 2 long paralel pierces that look like this ! ! then the outer square should be to the width of the car your trying to deadlift. the length depend on tire size, and if its a car your planning to use, make sure ur lifting and frame and not wrecking the body. lastyl cut the 2 support beams in the middle for support. u can cut everything with a hack saw or a grander. then make grind notches where everything connects, then weld it. if you dont have access to welding equitment, u could buy thick threades rods drill out the metals, and rig it up that way. then save all the scrap metal for your next project. just an idea.
EDIT: almsot forgot for the ends where u lift from, cut it about 5-6 inches, 4 pieces, tack weld them or cut a square into the metal, put it in then then put thread rod through them with lug nuts. and take dense pipes and havem: !-----! about 4-5 inches.Last edited by PWRlifterdous; 12-02-2011 at 03:03 PM.
