maybe you're just intolerent to whey like someone is to gluten. ppl intolerent to gluten have stomach aches too and reject gluten foods.
maybe you should get your daily protein elsewhere.☆ ☆ QUEBEC CREW ☆ ☆

shouldn't try casein. likely a lactose and/'or artificial sweetner issue.
this. it's that simple. try whole foods (always best), but if you want a protein powder, try pea, hemp, soy, brown rice, egg white, pumpkin seed. i don't have any problems w/ whey but drink life's basics plant protein powder. if you're not lactose intolerant, the probablem could be the sweetners, so try a natural kind.

Some brands make me feel gross and some brands don't. So you might want to try different brands and see how they go.
Not all wheys are considered equal.Short term Goal: To cut back before bulking like a demon.
Mid term Goal: To find myself.
Long term Goal: To get what's mine.

I get really bad stomach pains with certain protein powders. Casein usually seems ok (usually use Optimum Nutrition), but if you want whey, the ones that I have found that don't hurt my stomach are Gaspari Nutrition (Great flavors!) and Muscle Milk. There's a lot more calories in the Muscle Milk though. It took me awhile to find ones that didn't hurt (the ON whey kills me when the ON casein doesn't, etc.) so just get the smallest amount you can until you find one that your body can handle.
Not sure why everyone is hating on the protein powder. Yes, you shouldn't get most your protein from a supplement, but if you use it as it is supposed to be, as a supplement, there is nothing wrong with it. I throw some GN Cookies and Cream in my oats with a few tbsp of peanut butter, good stuff. I usually only use powder 2 or 3 times a week though, since I usually hit my macros with real food. Cottage cheese with frozen strawberries and splenda FTW!^^Former 300+lb Crew^^

not sure why people are trying to convince him to try other kinds. he's said he's tried others and had the same problem. so why not either eat or choose a different kind of protein powder? or if the op gets the same reaction from other foods w/ artificial sweetners (assume at least one of the ones he's tried has been an isolate, low on lactose), he can try a natural whey, but it would probably just be a waste of money. why keep trying and trying when it's not necessary to have it?
