    My favorite series/books
    -The Hunger Games
    -Uglies
    -HP
    -Games of Thrones
    -Into the Woods

I tried Catch 22 like five times and never got past the first few chapters! I'll read just about anything but that book was a no go.

I speculate some people read it in high achool and had really good english teachers that made it seem awesome by how they 'taught' the book. Dunno!

    Favorite thing I've ever read.

    This was really good too

It's by Jim Carrol (wrote Basketball Diaries) and it was pretty damn good.
The Chuck Norris of all known Gods, putting the laughter back in slaughter since '83.

I'm going to cheat and just say anything by Bernard Cornwell besides the Starbuck Chronicles.

My favorites are the Sharpe series, about a badass Rifleman officer in the Napoleonic Wars starting at the Peninsula campaign, or the Warlord trilogy, which is a retelling of the Arthur legend with major changes that make it pretty damn awesome.

edit: and the Lord of the Rings is a must read.

Loved this book as a kid, have revisited it many times in adult life (was great discovering the longer version for adults, pictured below was the kids edition I read)

I do not read extremely frequently, but I do read every now and then. That being said, one of the books that I've enjoyed the most has been 'In the Lake of the Woods' by Tim O'Brien. Great read that's written brilliantly.

Some great books on here to add to my "must read" list.

Should mention these three favourites while growing up along with my original post:

Jon Krakauer - Into Thin Air

Jon Krakauer - Into The Wild

    Gary Paulsen - Hatchet

With those who don't give a damn about baseball, I can only sympathize. I do not resent them. I am even willing to concede that many of them are physically clean, good to their mothers and in favor of world peace. But while the game is on, I can't think of anything to say to them. ~Art Hill

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Charles Lutwidge

    SRS

The guy who wrote that novel is a math genius, man if u know the symbols behind that children story .. one of the greatest human creations of all time high Up there in the top 10 with the book of dead (ancient Egypt, the pharaohs), the magic flute by Mozart, Vitruvian Man by Da Vinci Morals and dogma by Albert pike the Kabbalah etc.

the ASoIaF novels. Specifically a Game of Thrones or A Storm of Swords. Never has a book made me so freaking emotional. There were points where I was legit so angry or upset with what happened in the story that I had to put the book down.

That being said, the first three books in the series were ten times better than the fourth and the fifth.

The most thought provoking though would be The Stranger. That's if it counts as a novel. It's only 123 pages, and I was able to breeze through it in a couple of hours, but god damn, that book makes you take a step back and think. Especially if you have a somewhat apathetic personality. I could relate to the main character much more than I would care to or hope to.
