I was watching the old episode of Nip / Tuck last night, the one with Mario Lopez in it, I remember being stuck by something that was said in the dialogue. One the main characters asks Mario Lopez's character how he gets his abs to "pop" like they do.
Mario says "simple I don't eat..."
Not really "not eat" but he said that he has a protein shake for breakfast, another for lunch and then a "light" dinner.
That got me to thinking. I've been kinda stuck in my weight loss program at 212-215 for a couple of months now. I'd like to get down another 10lbs or so before the new year.
So I was thinking I might take this dude's advice.
So I figure I'm gonna eat this and only this for the next 5 weeks every day>
Breakfast: Protein Shake with Two Scoops: 280 Cals 52g Protein
Lunch : Protein Shake with Two Scoops: 280 Cals 52g Protein
Dinner 1.5 cups of Broccoli/ Zuchinni and 2 Large Chicken Breasts. 220 cals and 44g of protein.
3 Tilapia fillets 300 cals 60s protein.
8 pieces of medium shrimp 120 cals 22gs protein.
1/4 cup low sodium soy and oyster sauce.
Totals
1200 Cals 220g protein. ~30-40carbs
Something like a PSMF
With over 200gs of protein and a multi.
I know the calories are very low, but with over 220 grams of protein daily, that should spare my muscle mass since I'm only planning on doing this for 4-5 weeks. I'm looking for just a 10-15 lbs drop in 4-5 weeks. I don't think that would be unreasonable.
Long term I know that is unsustainable. But for just 4-5 weeks I think it can be done. I'm gonna take a multi and fish oil to go with it.
I update this thread every Monday with a weigh-on starting next week.

substitute the protein shakes for chicken or fish, have a "free meal" once a week and take a week long break every month or so. Do no cardio other than some walking and don't lift with great frequency.

Getting your protein source from solid food is always better then drinking it... protein shakes are "supplements" not food replacements.
Creatine does NOT cause bloating. It will cause you to have some cellular water weight and make you look fuller, but that is much different then bloating. The new age creatine does not require loading and does not cause any bloating.
Drink lots of water and you hold less waterA goal without a vision is nothing more than a dream!~me~

The biggest pro of consuming your protein through powder form is that it makes it far easier to track for most people.
"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

@ OP,
I know I've posted this before, but your diet reminds me of Courtney Love's comments about her ~*dramatic weight loss~*. I'll never forget it, she said, "I don't eat... because food is for peasants."
And then she rambles on about how she eats broccoli and fish only for dinner. I chuckle every time hear "Nirvana" or "Kurt Cobain" because I think back to that interview.

I used to do 3 to 4 scoops of protien powder a day but i've dropped that down to 1 to 2 scoops a day if that as I dropped my calories.
I'd rather eat 10oz of chicken than 2 scoops of Walmart protien shake for lunch.
not that I have a problem with the walmart stuff. I've been using it for yrs. I mix it with my greek yogurt.
I stay fuller longer with roughly the same amount of protien and only slightly more cals plus some fat with the chicken.
Oh and too many shakes gives me the backdoor trots. LOL!
