Looking to drink something quick first thing in the morning..should it be whey or casein protein? I'd eat real food within 1-2 hours.

I put protein and fat in my morning coffee.
Type of protein probably doesn't matter much, but I still hang on to the old ways and use whey or a blend in the morning and casein or a blend before bed. Get you a jug of Trutein and have all the bases covered. Great stuff
For the fat, I like coconut oil as it contains lauric acid for health/immune system and MCTs for energy. And it tastes great, but make sure to use cold pressed, extra virgin like Nutiva brand. The cheap crap from wal-mart is extracted with solvents and I wouldn't get near it. If you can't get coconut, some ev olive oil is a pretty good substitute.
