I had perfect skin like a year ago, but halfway through my freshman year of college my acne started to get bad. Been going to the dermatologist for the past 4 months with no improvement. Using differin and duac. Tried Doryx for a month but was getting the worst headaches and sweating like a mofo at night. On solodyn right now, but it's not doing ****. This **** is depressing. Going back to the dermatologist this saturday and gonna talk to him about accutane. Anyway, accutane brahs, how was the gym when you were on it. Still making gains?

Im on my second month right now, im an aussie spring cutter so I don't know about the gains, but honestly going to the gym has been no different from before starting accutane. No real joint stiffness at all yet (touch wood), maybe just a little bit extra DOMS (could just be a placebo). Honestly bro, if you feel you need to go on the tane, if the risk is worth the reward, then do it. The only side effects i have right now are dry as phuck lips and my face has broken out pretty bad, but these are to expected. If you need anything else PM me.

I'm on about month 4. Face is completely clear, scars are even mostly gone too. I've had maybe one pimple in the last two months. At the gym, I see no effect on gains. I got some knee pain playing basketball on hard outdoor courts and that affected my leg days at the gym. I used to play twice a week, but I had to cut it back to twice a month, just so my leg days wouldn't be so painful. Just be careful inside and outside the gym and joint pain won't be a problem. Other side effects I had were dry lips and dry eyes, but those are manageable with aquaphor and some eye drops.

Wasn't working out at the time, but I will say that Accutane was literally one of the best medications I've ever made in regards to medications.
You will need to carry and use chalpstick at all times of the day, but it's well worth it.PRs - Sq / B / D / Total

I am on my last month of a five month cycle. The most prevalent side effect I have is dry lips, but that is expected. My lifting has gone to **** since around month two or three. I can still make gains on non-compound lifts, but joint aches from cartilage inflammation is a common side effect for people that actually lift. I can't squat or deadlift without pain in my hip, left knee, and sternum, but even with these side effects, it is still worth the cycle, especially because the side effects will go away after the cycle is over. ~5 months of hell was completely worth it because my skin is nearly perfect and I have so much more confidence now. Changed my life bro. (srs)

Didnt effect my gains at all bro but I would get itchy as fuk sometimes after mainly on my back but thats were my acne was but seriously a cold shower would help it straight away. I just carried a little tin of carmex in my pocket and every couple hours applied it on my lips and never really had a problem with them being dry after awhile it just became a habit too and wouldnt even notice I was applying it.

As far as supplements go, I read that you cannot take Vitamin A so that eliminates my multi. Fish oil, vitamin d, zinc, vitamin c, magnesium, and calcium should be fine tho right?

All of those should be fine. Zinc is good for inflammation which you will no doubt get on Accutane, and fish oil should help joint problems. Been on Accutane two months now, into month 3. Skin is looking meh but definitely improving. I have had great gains since starting the treatment with no sign of slowing down. I had lower back issues the first couple weeks into the course but I just stayed away from squats and deads and I was fine after a while. Back into the heavy stuff with no issues thus far.
Go for it OP, good luck in your acne elimination goals of 2012.

My experience:
No depression
Got dry as ****, prepare your lips with massive chapstick
Saw massive progress after just 1 month (my face was bad but my back was like the rocky mountains, now a lot better, just scarring that slowly goes away)
Still got gains
Pics speak for themselves
Before 5 month cycle of accutane
After 5 month cycle of accutane

Don't remember, but the doc started me out at 1 pill a day every morning (1 box of generic accutane a month) to 2 pills a day every morning (2 boxes a month)
If it's solely your face your doc might not recommend accutane, however if the other treatments have in fact failed he might give you a light prescription- accutane will wipe your face clean in a matter of 2 months in my experience.RB nine fiddy+

was on it for 6 months last year, and now going back on it.. feelsbadman.jpg.
Im taking 2x 20 mg.. my acne is breaking out again and is pretty bad on my back.
I remember my Dr saying that sometimes the back takes longer to break out and also a lot longer to clear up..
First 2 months for me were hectic.. always got dry lips and dry skin, and **** (goddamn was during summer)...
After that lips got better and ****.. after about 5 months face got all clean and was just my back.. dr took me off it as i was starting to get depressed (avoid a long term relationship haha)..
back never fully recovered and now after about 6 months off it im going back on today? if i go pick up my script. lol..
If u got any questions let me know, i can help.. some people said that you shouldnt drink at all coz it does **** up ur liver really badly... but some other people didnt give a flying phuck and use to drink anyways.. but if u wanna live life drink away but u may have some liver problems down the line i hear....
PM me if u got any questions, glad to help where i can.

been taking it for 2months 1/2 working out as been the same . I tried doxyclinehyclate **** didn't work my doctor asked me after 2months of going if I wanted to go on Accutane I was reluctant but he told my I was a good candidate since I had severe acne . Wish I had some pics from week one so I can compare but last visit my doctor said my face was like night and day compared to my last visit. The only severe dryness is on my nose and I need to put chapstick on about 2-3 times a day . Also I'm taking 80 mg a day and that runs me $500 a month with insurance . Did you check how much it is and if you have insurance how much is it curious to know the price.

Hey bro I'm in the same situation...My face blew up around 3-4months ago and now it's phucking horrible. I'm on antibiotic now(tetralysal) but sht isn't working, at all. Thinking of going accutane after I've eaten this antibiotic.
Also for the supplements Fish oil isn't really beneficial for treating acne, it is for the joints though so it's in your judgement to see which one has more cons and pros, taking or not taking. I've been doing a lot of research about antibiotics/accutane/acne in general so if you need some help shoot me a PM.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously.
