    Chest dips help

I want to and have been trying to perform dips to target my pecs not tri's...

I was at the assumption that when you have you hands shoulder width apart and put your arms backwards like this (dip one) and believe thats tricep?

Picture of dip 2 is how i do them, with my elbows pointing outwards inline with my shoulders not behind... and is that more for chest?
    thanks

i keep my arms parralel with my legs, maybe slightly pointed outwards and hands back behind your chest. This will work best for targeting chest, but no matter what you are going to target your triceps as a secondary while doing dips
