    will protien make me fatter?

I dont really workout all that much because i just dont have time, im 26 married 2 kids and i work alot, i actually workout at work during breaks. Im physically active at work and am consistant with workouts even though they are short. I cant seem to get my bench up and ive more or less stalled out, i thought about starting to take some protien to try and help but i would rather not if it makes you gain weight.

If you eat enough of it, sure. Could be said about any source of calories though.

Eating more than you burn in a day will make you gain weight. It doesn't matter whether you are eating donuts or "taking" protein, if you eat too much, you'll gain weight.

I'm assuming you are talking about protein shakes? It will add extra calories to your diet. If you are building muscle you will add muscle weight. If you aren't lifting or doing cardio it could turn into excess fat. What is your height & weight?

I knew a guy who took protein once. Started with a shake after a workout..no bigger. Before long, though he was taking more protein between breakfast and lunch just to make it through the day. 6 months later he's snorting , smoking, and mainlining it. 700 pounds and living in a ditch...but he van bench like a mofo.

    Stay off the prot.

Protein supplements can be helpful if you can not meet the suggested protein amount (about 1-1.5g per pound of bodyweight) through your normal diet. If you eat a good amount of meat, dairy, eggs, etc protein isn't going to be necessary or helpful.
