Are you thinking about doing something once you're at the point you want to be, competitive wise? I mean if you're getting to the point where you're sacrificing strength to lose BF, you might as well get some recognition for it, no?
Those numbers are still crazy though. What were your highest maxes? Did you hit 4/5/6?

What exactly do you mean by conditioning? Everyone seems to have their own definition. Thanks man.
I was fat. Fat = me being disgusted with myself. Therefore I will continue to cut till I'm perma abz. Basically my goal is to get the leanest I have ever been in my life and stay there for the long term. No more dreamer bulks. Staying lean = looking as young as possible and being as healthy as possible, so that is my goal.
@ about a 203 body weight I threw up 215 on SOHP and 315 on CGBP after a few working sets. Both weren't maxes. I do need to get stronger though you are right. Plan is to do one last fat burner run. SOON.JPG
I like Jim Harbaugh lol
Jed York is a joke
Brb fire Coach that turned the team around and brought them to the playoffs and superbowl.
Brb fire new coach again after one season of playing with brand new team that needs to be completely rebuilt.
Its not the coaching at this point, but you know that. We'll see how long it takes the 9ers to look somewhat presentable again.
Nope, doing this for myself is enough for me. Its just a hobby that I take very seriously. I mean, I think everyone has to do some crazy cut at one point to see all their results fully, no?
Thanks man. The most I have ever squatted was 485, bench is 395, SOHP is 245, deadlift 565 beltless, barbell row 335+ for reps. Those squats were the easiest and the deadlift felt heavy but went up fast, the bench I have on film and was easy. I had 405, but I'll admit I got a little scared maxing on Squat/Bench/Deads when they started to get to those numbers. So I stayed clear from 100% maxing. Maybe I had 5/4/6 who knows.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Thanks bro. I'm 200 pounds now, feels weird. The other day my bench felt like it was still a solid tree fiddy. Only a few more days till I start hardcore cutting again, then I will ease off after that. Not sure what will happen and where the scale will go, things are weird right now with my body. I may stay at 200 pounds, I seem to be recomping like crazy.

I need to do more of those things.
Yeah I have been out of this thread for a while because I got banned for talking about a fat burner.
Now I am injured. I dislocated my knee cap days ago while kneeling down on my injured knee and slipping a bit, putting all my weight on the side of my kneecap, which pushed it out of the socket completely. It was out of the socket on the side of my leg and I couldn't move at all. Took 15 minutes to get back into place which I did myself. The paramedics were not allowed to tell me how to do it lol. Now I'm in a splint resting up. Gonna be a while till I'm back in the gym. I'm just thankful my cut went so well and I'm not fat while being injured.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

LOL! Nice to see you in here brotha yes its been a while.... Yeah well, maybe I'm stupid but at least I'm above 200 pounds shredded without even lifting for 3 weeks....U mad? I swear if that's your only post in here for another 6 months again then I'm coming for you, wake up on skype too I'm bored as hell now since I can't gym. Hope all is well.
Updates:
So nobody seems to understand exactly WTF happened to me when I tell them. I never got a picture but this is about the closest I could find to what it looked like:
Like I said its been 3 weeks exactly today since I have exercised. Still can't walk, but the swelling is starting to go down a lot and I'm almost able to bend my knee 90 degrees. They say it takes about 6-8 weeks to walk again but I wanna beat that and walk in 5 or less. Taking all supps possible, icing and doing physical therapy myself. Still need an MRI but it looks like I might have gotten lucky knock on wood.
Not sure when but I'm hitting upper body soon. I'm gonna be so weak but its ok because I can bounce back if I want, it only matters how bad you want it....And this applies to everyone on here reading this. Don't ever let anything stop you from doing what you want to do. You fall down you get back up like all the people at the top have done themselves. The chances of my kneecap dislocating again are much higher now that it has been out once before, and it was very painful. But I'm not going to let that scare me into changing my lifestyle, sh*t happens and its part of the game. I would be ashamed of myself if I let this stop me from squatting or anything else. One of the only things that truly scares me in life is giving up. I'm going to get better and be back to where I was at and beyond just like anyone else should think, say and do. In the end if you keep pushing forward you will be stronger and wiser with a sense of accomplishment that will feel so incredible it becomes addictive and that drives you to continue thriving in all aspects of life. You always come out stronger when you get through a rough patch, and this is an easy rough patch for me. Its just tough dealing with my mental issues since I cannot exercise.
Bad things happen. The key is to accept the bad and realize you aren't always in control and that's ok. However, the one thing you are ALWAYS in control of is how you handle the situation and overcome the challenge. That part is entirely up to you.

Thanks guys. Able to walk now already lol. Will be 5 weeks on friday. Been hitting upper body and doing physical therapy every day myself from researching. The physical therapy hurts and is tough but I wouldn't be able to walk as fast as I could without it. I can already do body weight squats too.
Still need to get an MRI, docs orders also. Just haven't gotten one yet since well....thanks Obama.
Hope everyone is doing well, I appreciate the support, means a lot.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Thanks man
this guy right now is trying to get back to killing it!
So I thought wrong. I went into get my MRI results last friday and I have a stage 3 tear in my MCL (stage 3 = full tear). And a partially torn patella tendon (which I already figured I did squatting on the injured knee for almost two years strait.
I thought I was g2g since I started walking again weeks ago. But its not the case. I'm in a huge pickle. All my research indicates I can recover from this without surgery, however its a gamble as to whether or not it will recover as well as surgery would do it. Which means if no surgery the chance of re-injuring the same area is greater.
Professional athletes immediately go into surgery no questions asked. And I do consider myself an althlete, so I figure I should be smart and make sure I'll be 100% g2g by going through with the surgery. Even though I can walk now, cycle and do bodyweight squats. Yes there is still pain but it confuses me into whether or not I should really go through with the surgery given the fact it will put me out another two months AND i feel like I'm recovering fast. I can't make up my mind just yet!
This has been tough. If anyone has any advice please post it up in hur. I'm so out of it from not exercising. Bad thoughts, depression, anxiety. Once again all you regulars in here know I stopped taking psych meds almost a decade ago because I found out lifting/exercise kept my bipolar disorder in check and my mind stable. Now since I'm a cripple I can't seem to get enough exercise and suicidal thoughts are happening. I'm contemplating a mood stabilizer temporarily until I can get back to lifting because its that serious.
I know it could be way worse so I'm doing my best to stay positive. Most likely scheduling the surgery today. Just have one last phone call to make.
Really hope all you bros are doing well. I don't want to see any human being go through any pain. It saddens me how much pain there is in life. This whole thing has humbled me even more and I'm not ashamed to admit I have cried over it. You can cry, its healing . What you can't do is let anything like this stop you from moving forward, cry all you want, but don't ever give up. Just taking it day by day now.
All the best bros, thanks for reading my SOB story. Will keep you all updated.
And just for the record, everyone might wanna make sure the health insurance they have isn't BS. I found out mine was awful after this injury and had to switch to another provider which made it take 6 weeks just to get an MRI (when I should have had it day one) and my results back which is a joke. I could have been in surgery 5 weeks ago and almost out of my splint now starting physical therapy. Just had to post this because it basically added another month + to my ordeal. And I don't want anything like this to happen to anyone else.Last edited by dopamine72; 03-28-2016 at 08:02 AM.

Have the surgery brother. I imagine you must be really depressed to post this and i hope you feel better (mentally), soon enough, but you have to know that if your knee doesnt heal correctly you could be repeating this ordeal again, and next time it may not be able to recover 100%. really ****ty to hear about this, i hadnt been on much the last few months just dropping in to update my log and logging off, or i would have popped in sooner.

Thanks bro. Yes the depression is real, the title of my thread is completely serious. I need to figure out other ways of exercise to keep myself sane right now, if anyone has any good ideas let me know please. Trying to think of good cardiovascular exercises that require no leg work lol.
Surgery scheduled for this Wednesday, I begged the lady on the phone to get me in as soon as possible and made it clear to her how much it mattered to me. She said she didn't have anything for at least two weeks but she would call back if there was an opening. I got a call back about a half hour later saying she got me an opening in two days. Probably some of the best news I have heard in a while. I'm feeling better about this, now all I have to do is play the waiting game I guess.
Take care of yourself guys, my philosophy about lifting has changed. I thought I was able to work around my injury but it never got better like the other ones I worked around did. If you're trying to work through an injury don't keep doing it if its not getting any better lol. Because of the injury my kneecap dislocated way too easily and then caused even more damage to the point of not being able to walk for a month. Now I won't be able to walk for another 6ish weeks after Wednesday.
Lesson learned.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

If you can stand and hold your balance you can work on a speed bag for coordination and cardio.
Not sure if you can swim or not but that could be a big help
You can probably train some upper body motions like chin ups, pull downs, dips, etc as long as you don't land on your bad leg at the bottom. Wheel chair body builders get down in the gym with no ability to use legs
Not sure if you still have the sti, if you you can always entertain yourself by ripping that animal up and down the 217 (I think that's the back road from half moon bay up to SF)

Thanks bro, I love that speed bag idea. Swimming has been on my mind for sure, yes still have the sti and that's exactly what I have been doing. It rained a decent amount here the past couple months so I've been having the most fun I've ever had driving. Luckily my left leg is fine for the clutch.
Been two weeks since the surgery, they pulled out a chunk of cartilage and repaired the torn ligament, no one knew about the cartilage chunk until they went in, so I'm very happy I got that out. And yep been training my upper body only for now and cutting because I feel better cutting at the moment. Can't wait to start squatting again, physical therapy is on Friday. Already walking yesterday and today, did standing overhead presses with 165 for reps at a body weight of 186 lol srs. I got the flu and and ear infection along with this injury hence the significant weight loss.
Hope everyone here has been well and is staying healthy.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Still hitting upper body and noticing some size gains because of the increase in frequency. I have been going through a lot lately but I'm bouncing back. Scale said 200 today and my right quad is so atrophied it will say 210ish most likely when I'm back to normal. BF % has got to be around 9% ish
Have my first physical therapy apt today. Knee is swollen and hurting so I probably won't be doing much lol.

good to hear you are putting the weight back on man, and im glad to see you are getting back to training upper body, and seeing some nice progress, I recently started using animal flex for my joints, i think its one of only a few products that has hyaluronic acid, but it feels like its making a big difference. may be something to consider

Thx man, yeah the hyaluronic acid seems to help mealso. You can get a cheaper product off amazon that has it in it, but animal flex is probably the most complete all in one joint support. Just a lil more expensive.
Hey bro, thanks!
Nothing new....Just cutting for summer and maintaining as much as I can. This past year has pretty much been just me rehabbing and trying to get my knee back to 100%
Still not healed yet but its much better. Maybe about 95% now finally. Still lifting still doing it all! Just haven't posted my workouts on here. Gonna try and get back into it now.
Today:
BW = 200
Warmup/stretch/foam roll - 30+ min
Squats
Bar x 30
95 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 10
225 x 10 (more, easy, this is about the most I can go w/ out knee pain)
Ab Wheel
Knees x 30
Stationary Bike
30 min
Not an impressive workout at all but it is what it is lol. I honestly still feel like I have at least 365 in me on squats, probably more. But I'm finally being wiser about sh*t so I'll only be adding weight if my knee can handle it. And if not then I guess I'll be doing 225x50 squats later on lol
Also deadlifted 405 easily last week. Really weird how my deadlift strength has stayed so well when I'm not even doing much of it.
Pressing workout coming later this week, still have a 315+ bench was working with over 300 last week too
Hope all of you are doing well, any of you wanna chat feel free to hit me with a PMJournal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240
