I bet you have more in ya now bro. Thanks man. And yeah sorta. I don't deload. Just extra rest days, light days. Will see how I feel today and I really need to make sure and stretch well after. I've been neglecting stretching.
Thanks Woody. Chained Inclines are hella fun. I think they may up my bench too.,

Sub par trolling
Yesterdays Workout:
Felt tired. Felt burnt out. Hammie still recovering but not bad at all. Still slightly strained but nothing bad really. And I was NOT going to let my cousin out lift me so I didn't. Yeah I know I'm letting my Ego get in the way but whatever. I'm for sure going to be growing like a weed from this session. Helluva session actually.
30 Min Warmup
Light Squats
Bar x 20
135x10
185x5
225x5
275x3
315x1
+ Belt
335x1
365x2 (Jokingly Easy)
-- All I needed because today was deadlift day. I love me some light squats before deads. Warms me up and loosens me up so well. Don't really lose strength if I keep the weight light too.
Deadlifts. No Belt. No Straps. Reset weight between reps
135x5
225x5
275x3
315x2
365x2
405x1
435x3 (way more)
455x5 (3+ more)
405x10 (4+ more, cardio)
-- @ 435 I matched my cousins reps. @ 455 I hit 2 more reps. @ 405 I hit 6 more reps. Felt like a boss. Was tiring as hell though, as usual my endurance SUCKS and its like a cardio workout.
Light Bicep/Tricep/Delt/ab/chest work/Stretching/cardio
My deadlifts seem to be the strongest they have ever felt surprisingly. I think doing higher reps is paying off. I did 405x12 if I remember correctly a couple weeks ago. We'll see whats up on ME day.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Nope. Said I reset weight between reps at top. TnG I got 20+ now fresh. All it turns into is an endurance competition. Just like 225 on bench I prob have for 25+ but I burn out so quickly since my endurance isn't that great.
And hell yeah bro. Wish I could have made it. Lets get some training sessions in together then hopegully I'll be ready for the next meet. I really wanna try that strong man comp you are planning on doing. Hate how you have to pay for all that BS tho. And I still need a ****gy singlet.

Hammie is back to normal. Looks like the work actually helped. Injuries are such a mind ****. Man was I sore and tired yesterday though. Rep work is a whole other ball game imo. Think I already grew from that one session. Don't get me wrong heavy singles make me require more sleep. But I think rep work, especially on deadlifts, makes me way hungrier (to name a couple differences).
And as always kids. Do both high and low reps for maximum gainzzzz.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Mind = Blown @ how accurate Mike is...
I am very overtrained at the moment LMFAO. 365 on bench felt way too heavy today.
I slowly worked my way up to that and it was probably a 7.5-8/10 which is way too high. On a good day I have 365x4+ more than likely 5. So I am absolutely obliterated from all of this heavy training I have been doing. I am beginning to think I can only press heavy 1x a week and squat or deadlift heavy 1x a week given the weight I'm using. I also looked back on my journal and the volume has been pretty high. But I haven't really lowered the intensity.
Gonna take 2-3 days off hopefully. Get cardio and stretching in. Then my next session will be Dynamic effort squats. Really due for a break. But I don't want to so this sucks ballz. I know I will come back stronger though because that's how it always works. My CNS is probably @ about 75% now. Srs. My cousin says he thinks more like 60% So yeah that's that.
Finished up with 225x15 bench with more in the tank and some light DB work + stretching. Time to rest up. Thanks for following everyone. I hate taking breaks like this but its necessary for optimal progress.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

I don't stick to scheduled lifting anymore because I like the freedom of lifting when its convenient and I can do just as good, if not better in the progress department. I can get injured, sick, have "off day" where I'm not 100% and it just doesn't work. When I feel good I'll go hard and hit PR's. And when I feel 80% or less I'll take rest or keep it light and simple (although that's been hard for me to do lately lol). I have tried 5-3-1 and it was sub par for me anyways. I like my frequency higher. If I were to do a scheduled program it would be TM hands down. Nothing compares to the godlike strength gains you achieve. Real myofibrillar hypertrophy that sticks with you. Not that peaking crap where you lose a bunch of strength after a PLing cycle. Lame imo.
And btw I just realized I did a bunch of pushups 2 days ago with a lot of light tricep and delt isolation work as a "BBing" workout I didn't even post on here. I completely forgot and that had to have played a big role in why my bench was such sh*t today. So hopefully its not as bad as I thought. Nonetheless Mike was on point and I for sure need to keep it lighter for the next week or so. We'll see how long I can last.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

I wrote that out in a way which made me look like I said that. Didn't mean to write it that way. When I mentioned PLing peaking cycle I was referring to things like smolov and a different Russian cycle I also tried. Great for strength but you lose some after which is lame. I think its dumb to put your body under that much stress also which increases chance of injury when you aren't even making true/real gains that you can maintain 100% after the cycle/routine is over. I don't really like any sort of peaking cycles and I thought I would also say that as well because a lot of people run things like that on here. I like to build real maintainable strength and muscle mass. Not prime my CNS strength then watch it crash 15% a few weeks later.
As far as 5-3-1 is concerned, its not my style at all because its scheduled, low frequency and pretty damn boring imo lol. Its also very, very easy. I can do more work and make more gains.
The only issue I have with my own programming is lifting too heavy too often. I need to check my ego at the door and throw in more light days + take deloads more frequently. If I can manage to do that I'll continue to make great PR's.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Ok well I appreciate your intentions but I'm not running a program like I keep saying. Why do you think I need a program so bad? Or are you trolling?
BTW I ran a similar version of 5-3-1 already. Normal 5-3-1 is an absolute joke for me.
Thanks bro.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

So far my last workout was not taxing at all really. Only benched 365 then 225x15 w/ way more in tank. Stopped immediately because I felt so overtrained. Been 2 full days off + that easy day. Thinking today might be another day off then get back into it tomorrow. Starting light hopefully.
I was due for a full week deload. Its been raining like hell every day lately anyways. May go to the gym and do some machine work (bbing) + cardio. Then when people come up to me and ask what my routine is I'll say that's all I do to get this big.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Training (& resting) smart my man! Love the idea of doing the lighter bbing style workouts for a deload of sorts.
In for trolling of commercial gymPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Ok guys, the next few sentences I'm about to say are pretty important, so if you are only going to read this pls read the next two paragraphs and das it mayne. Thank you in advance...
I couldn't believe it. So it hasn't rained in a while (we've pretty much been in a drought). And last week it started raining. Its been raining for about a week strait now and as you know my weights are outside. My cousin picked up a 5 pound weight today and said "wtf" ????? I kid you not it weighed 8 lbs. Srs. We put it on the scale then compared it to the more dry 5 pound weights.
It was raining the day I hit the "365" bench. And the fukin plates were wet! Two of the main 45's. I have different weights and some of them are very porous. Those two 45's I used are like that. SOoooo....Long story short. My cousin and I did some weighing and calculated that I at least hit a 385 bench that day. If not 390. Dead srs. That's why my mind was so full of fuk. Don't get me wrong I'm still needing a break. But that last bench single I did was a lot heavier than 365 lmfao...
I hope so. We'll see. And haha.
Indeed thanks bro. Lol I will for sure be doing this, srs.
Ended up not going to the gym today (no introvert) because the rain cleared up for a bit. Then when I drive over to my own personal gym it starts fukin raining so walking the dog was once again out of the game plan since I don't have a rain coat and I still have this slight ear infection, srs....
Anyways I hit up a deload session with 50% of my 1rm for 3x5 on squats. I calculated it to be 240 or so but since my plates are wet I played it safe and only threw on 225. My cousin and I both felt like it was around 245 so yeah the plate wetness problem is a pretty big issue that's pissing me off a bit. But it is what it is and it could be worse. Finished off with some very light and easy chins/dips. Just a deload rcovery session. Also did curls, stretching and jumprope. Took only about a half hour, was very easy and felt good.
Looking forward to getting back into my regular programming after this deload. Only a few more days. Probably doing one more deload sessions with squats/bench. Then its time for DA MUFUKIN GAINZZ BRAHHH!!!!!!!
Also I feel the deload session kept me sane. As most of you know I train because it keeps me mentally balanced. And when I can't lift I go crazy. Its also keeping my CNS primed and squatting flexibility/technique up to par. So I'm sure its better than simply resting. This next training cycle is going to be killer. I'm really really looking foreward to it and I think this may be the time where I hit some badass PR's if everything goes as planned.
Thanks for following everyone!Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

When i deadlifted 590 all my plates were wet., jk. Keep it up colin and yes it makes sense how some can get water logged. Doesnt happen to mine often since most of the oly plates are metalic coated paint which repels water retention but understandable
Good song, but damn good game~~~~~~~~~~
