I need some help with my squats I have some pretty strong legs but once I squat parallel I just seem unbalanced which causes my squat to lag compared to my bench (205x5)

What is your current squat number, and how long have you been squatting? Depending on how heavy you squat, you might have a muscle imbalance. Your adductors will be fairly weak compared to your quads and hamstrings, causing your knees to pull inward slightly while squatting. Not always true that they are weak, but if thats whats happening, its a sign of it. Just train your Adductors as well and you should fix that

Ive been lifting for almost a year but always did quarter squats not parallel just started doing them less than a month the most ive gone was 165x8. Last leg day I went parallel and felt a pain which I think is my hip flexor.

You have extremely tight hips because your quads are extremely overdeveloped in relation to your hamstrings. Work your hamstrings in a 2:1 ratio to your quads and stretch all of your hip muscles 3-4x a week.

NP. Quarter squats are 99% quads. When you get to parallel, your hips, hamstrings, and ass aren't strong enough to stabilize you and push you out of the hole. If you bring them up you could add a few hundred pounds to your squat in no time.
