Waiting until two minutes left in the 3rd to put him in was questionable. Funny thing is, despite the 3rd string oline and WR's and a RB that isn't going to make the team, he still looked better than Glennon.

Glennon isn't an NFL caliber QB. But it looks like Fox is going to ride him into being fired.

It might be happening... Trubisky got reps with the 1's today and will get one series with the 1's in the preseason game.

Looks like Glennon sucks so much they might have to thrust Trubisky into the starting role. SMH

I'm thinking 4 games. They play the Falcons, Bucs, Steelers, then the Packers on a Nationally televised Thursday night game. That oughta do it.

Won't even be that long, he'll be the starter by week 2, if not before then.

Especially if he has another strong performance in game, gonna be way too much pressure on the Bears.

Good thing is so far I have to say I think the guy looks just about as ready as a rookie QB can look.

Great mobility, good accuracy, good composure, and I think he'll inspire the team to play to a higher level.

Playoff caliber team, 1-2 years and a few good moves from really competing for the Super Bowl (srs).

Yeah four games minimum probably for Glennon and no more than six. That's the reason they probably don't want to rush Trubisky because those are some though games and more than likely all 4 will make the playoffs and the last thing you need to for Trubisky to have shaky confidence because that's one the the thing attribute for a QB to succeed.

See above. I still think we don't have enough WRs to be scary at the moment but if they can sign somebody getting their prime then we can make a run. We need a legit #1 guy who demands to be double team. I'm for one is not sold on John Fox being the guy to lead us to the SB.

I agree with that, Bears are still a very talented team and will be competitive this year though.

As for Fox, I've never put too much stock into coaches, just pointing out the Bears have a bright future with Trubisky IMO.

That's my concern too is how long do they keep Glennon out there before they say enough is enough. I wonder how many veterans would support him and let him keep grinding away or do they put their support behind Trubisky.

Doubtful. I seriously doubt White lives up to expectation. From the Titans game he looks slow getting off the line. I think we need to make a trade for a number one WR.

It doesn't a scout to realize that Mitch Trubisky is going to be a high profile Nfl Qb. You gotta get this kid in there day 1 of the season. Just have to! One look at his body, the way he moves and his stature that any time he gets sacked he's gonna get right back up unscathed...one look at his facial expressions and his eyes and you can tell that throwing a pick or losing a game won't hurt his confidence. The kid is coming and there's nothing no-one can do. Opponents won't be able to hurt him, he's robust, he has mental fortitude and nothing will stop him from being a top 5 qb for the next 14 years.

If they're woried about throwing him out There too fast they have to remember that Peyton Manning played year one and they went 3-13....the next year they went 12-4...

There is more to being a productive NFL QB than just being able to get up after being knocked down.

In terms of NFL trades/transactions it makes absolutely no sense. The Bears will not bring Jeffery back. He has played his last day as a Bear, period. They aren't trading Glennon right now. He's the starting QB.

The Browns proved you can make any trade work but at the point think the Bears overpaid for Glennon and now they're stuck with him. Glennon probably gets 8 games before he give way to Trubisky. If they can trade him before his value goes down it would be better but that seems unlikely. Heck I wouldn't mind getting a 5th round draft pick.

It's not going to happen. They didn't sign the guy just to trade him off halfway through the season. This roster is what you're getting this year.

I think the Bears actually had the most exciting NFL game this week, lol. Thought we were going to get destroyed, a bit disappointed we couldn't steal this one, especially given 4 chances to score a td from 5 yards out. Overall B- grade

Yeah, but what confuses me is that the play calling was what you would expect for a rookie QB. It's like if you're going to be ultra conservative and limit the play calling, why do you need an 18 million dollar QB for that?

And of course, Kevin White is out for the season with an injury. I think that makes his bust status official.

Yeah what surprised me is they didn't have Cohen out there for those plays especially when the kid was having a terrific game.

No surprised with White. It's time to cut bait with him and move on.
