Cool A Home Gym vs. A Power Tower?

On Black Friday, Academy will be selling:

Cap Barbell Value Home Gym with 150 Pound Cement Weight Stack for $150 (Original Price $550)
Body Champ Power Tower for $80 (Original Price $120)

If I can come up with the money I'd buy both, but I only have enough money for one of them. Clearly, the Home Gym is a lot on Instant savings, but what I wanna know, is which one will be more effective for bodybuilding, which one gives better results... Should I just buy the Home Gym and save up some cash to buy the Power Tower at original price later?

You should not buy the Home Gym at all, regardless of price.

I wouldn't waste my money on the power tower either.

Neither will give the results you are looking for.

I would start with your schools gym.

Can I vote for nether? Decent equipment doesn't have to cost a lot if its used. If you do find items on Craigslist, they might get you something to work out with that's not garbage though. San Antonio looks to have a huge amount of used items compared to whats listed locally for me. Ironmaster, Iron master, Hoist, Paramount, Cybex, Icarian, Bodymaster, Powertec might be a few names to search, others can add in more names.. Your school gym isn't a bad idea either.

You need a power rack, bench, barbell and olympic weights. Keep your eyes out on Craigslist.

I agree, this is the route I went. Check to see if dicks off i10 still has the floor model protocol power cage. I got mine. For just over 200 after tax
