What are some foods high in creatine?

I have heard lots of good things about creatine, though i dont want to buy the supplement, unless i really need too. What are some foods that i could get good amounts of creatine from? Also, how much creatine should i consume daily?

Red meat/salmon - Although its going to be rather expensive. Any particular reason why you don't wanna buy the supplement?

You don't NEED the supplement. You are most likely not going to get enough from your diet however, and if you want to supplement with creatine it is one of the few supplements that have been proven to work and is dirt cheap.

Creatine is readily synthesized by your body using an arginine precursor and a subsequent enzymes.

Of course, one can make an argument that you don't need 5 grams of creatine anyway, and can maintain just fine on 2-3 grams per day, so that would reduce the amount of meet needed to maybe about 1.5 pounds, or a minimum of 6 quarterpound hamburgers.

On the other hand one could also say that those not consuming 1.5 lbs of red meat a day do not take their goals of gaining size or strength very seriously to begin with so the point is rather moot.
