Yeah, I really just don't understand how stuff happens but it does. I mean, how do you get a good heart/lung/vitals shot if you haven't even identified the animal. Seems some peeps just out there flinging lead around and hoping for the best, scumbags all around. Even if it is a deer or whatever you can't just be throwing lead at it randomly, make a clean shot and a clean kill ffs.

Frankly, I don't give a crap about it not being sporting or unfair or whatever. Should be able to harvest the deer in the safest and most humane way possible. If that's a clean head shot with a rifle while the deer is licking a salt block, so be it.
Unfortunately, the legislators do not agree with me, so I will play their silly little games. Bah!The hardest part of a zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited.

I bought some more hunting stuff to stay warmer in the negative wind chill temps we had the past week. Still looking for a good deal on a ZT 300bw. Having my birthday 8 days before Xmas but after hunting season sucks.
Will be getting a ground blind and at least one more tree stand after the season.***Misc Firearms Crew***

well at least you admit it. I am a noob at anything hunting related.
and anyone looking for outdoor gear, EMS is having quite a decent sale online (possibly in store as well).
Saw a stove I wanted that is $52 on amazon, and it is $48 at EMS (I think there is one close to me)
TheDude, I think I am going with the MSR Microrocket for a stove for now. The canister and stove can fit in one of their Solo cooksets which is nice.rumpler of stiltskins

Just jumped over to the EMS site, they have basically everything on sale at the moment, not bad.
A couple of things on there right now that I would pick up if I wasn't strapped for cash at the moment.
The Microrocket is a good deal as well, added that to the wish list. Total is up to about $350.00 in camping gear on the list.[]---[] Equipment Crew #78 []---[]

$350? lol
dat poverty wish list
I am debating on snagging that MSR after work. I am strapped hard right now but most of my Christmas shopping is done.
Some of their clothing deals are good too especially if you can get the additional 20% and get that $50 gift card.

Yes, I took it off to show the pack better in the pics, but they have the wash bag buckled to the pack upon delivery.
I should take a look at it, didn't pay much attention to it as my attention was solely on the pack and taking quick pics.
I know, in comparison to the gear you have I cant compete.[]---[] Equipment Crew #78 []---[]

^ not bad Bear
These came last night:
the MSR MicroRocket is a beast, still want to get a Dragonfly though for the extreme cold.
Also need to get some guy lines and adjusters for the stakes. They seem very well made, good design too.
I goofed and got two bottles of the Nikwax DWR, no matter, can always use it on packs and such.
also picked up some Smartwool medium weight hiking socks, yeah they are worth every cent. Very warm and comfy.Last edited by darkninja67; 12-05-2013 at 06:19 AM.

hey TheDude, check out this set:
GSI Pinnacle Soloist cookset:
http://www.gsioutdoors.com/activitie...ht_backpacking
looks like it can store canister and stove
I know the MSR Isopro 8 ounce canister is 227 grams, the 4 ouncer is 110 grams. Definitely could carry the stove with the 4 ounce can.rumpler of stiltskins

just ordered the MSR Trail Lite Duo cookset. Also got the canister stand and a Ti spork. I am pretty sure I can fit it all including stove and fuel in this set.

Bought 26 bags of soft plastics because I found several of my favorite baits on clearance. Lots of TTF Hackberry Hustler, Saltwater Assasin Seashad, and Norton Sand Shad Jr.
Saw these new Mullet hard baits and had to try them, one topwater and one fast sink model and been hearing good things about the Soft-Dine as well.
