Firing at somebody who has their back to you is not necessarily uncalled for.

In this particular incident it seems a very poor decision, though.

This is part of the problem. Your first reaction should be not getting shot. Shooting the other guy is not your priority. Keeping yourself/others free of holes is. Sometimes the two are one and the same. Often times they are not.

Learn from it. You need to change the way you think about/see things. That decision could have ruined the rest of your life. Dead serious.

    Getting back on track here...

I had some cash left over from buying my Buckmark so I picked up a 22mag.

It looks like this -the bipod. Itll be my beater truck gun/close range predator rifle.

I should have taken a picture of the gas pumps from this weekend, lots of mileage towing the boat to get there, fill up the 30 gallon tank in the boat, lots of mileage towing the boat to get home. I can't afford to buy goodies because all my damn activities use a sheetload of fuel.

Oh, well I was just kidding... but YES (Sys Admin) and Maybe (SOG for a sign-on bonus? LOL). We've been wanting to relocate for several reasons but have not been exposed to Virginia so it wasn't on our list to scout. However, my dad has 4 girls in college and they were talking about going to a school in Virginia so I need to ask them about it and how serious they are. If the four of them were to go my father would relocate as well, at least temporarily.

I'm assuming this is based in Leesburg? I will find out the exact location of my dad and start looking at Virginia to see how things look. I'm guessing gun laws are acceptable but I need to look into hunting and fishing opportunities, camping and such. Wife is pretty much decided on Colorado at this point but we're not in motion yet we're kind of stalled.

There are a TON of IT opportunities up here so work shouldn't be much of an issue. We are out of Annandale, but work all over the area (Winchster to Baltimore). The gun laws are quite acceptable and CHP's are shall issue. If you want specifics, I can send them your way.

I dunno, I'm less than 4 hours from the Atlantic Ocean (VA beach), and 5-5.5 hours to the Outer Banks. I never head east, I head south, then east. I stay out of MD and DC whenever possible.

I'm also 45 minutes from the Shenandoah Valley, and 2 miles from the Potomac River (think snakeheads).

I've been looking around Culpepper since I work from home a lot, but Haymarket, Purcellville, Middleburg, Aldie are all a 'little' out there compared to living in closer to the beltway. Only thing to keep in mind is that the way sprawl and development has happened, don't expect a sleepy town to stay sleepy around here for 10 years.

I was born in Colorado Springs, so it won't offend me at all if you pick there.

    Thumbs up

Finally picked up my P-64 today... very slight finish wear but otherwise in excellent condition. I already got it loaded up with some 94g Silver Bear HP's... taking it to the range tomorrow.

    I've got a theory:

Hola is an FSB plant who subliminally and subconsciously begins brainwashing recruits when they pass through BCT. He has comrades who continue the process at AIT, and then one day, without warning, the High Command will activate these sleeper conduits.

Probably going to give the M44 to her dad for xmas, btw. Just too good of a price to pass up for the condition.
where do people get them this cheap? I always hear about them going for around a 100 bucks or even less but the gun shops around here want $190 for a Russian, ~$250 for a Hungarian.

have you got to shoot it yet?
