I doubt you will ever regret going with a CM9 over a PF9.

Cheap 4x32 scope...

I always see the cheap NC Star and Sun Optics scopes in my CTD catalogs. I get tempted to pick a couple up for shts and giggles, then I realize how poorly things went over with my last use of cheap glass and included rings. Never again.

What issue did you have with them? The two cheap scopes and the red dot I have work just fine.

Didn't hold zero, and one of the base screw holes stripped out.

Even if you had to buy a 2nd one it would still be muuuuch cheaper than the "high quality" glass.

This is true. But anything I really need optics for is getting quality glass because I need to be able to rely on it. The cheapo sht might get thrown onto the Stag or SKS for plinking, but isn't a necessary piece of hardware. I'd rather just spend the ~$50 on some more ammo or more mags than something that's gonna get chewed up in a month.

Man its crazy how much the 870s and 740s look identical from the butt to the reciever. I used to have a 740 in 35 rem that I miss dearly.
