Had this thread last year around this time and it was a huge success with lots of people cutting down, sharing tips, dieting trick, their routines, motivational videos, etc. so I figure lets do it again! I'm starting to cut down in exactly one week. Ignore my current stats, i'm around 179 lbs. now, not 162.

-nothing feels better than being shredded
-next time you want to binge, look at your mirror and ask yourself "do i have a 6 pack with a visable adonis belt?"
-dont neglect carbs. carbs are good and it'll help you bust through your workouts
-start slow and decrease cals by 50 every week.

-Supplement with Caffeine and Green tea helps a fair bit
-Fill up on fiber
-stimulate the muscle don't annihilate it
-increase cardio as the weeks go on
-HIIT ftw
Also, one question: do you guys take anything before early morning cardio? Like a whey shake, BCAA's or glutamine?
EDIT: I'm currently cutting, 1&1/2 weeks in. Currently at around 12% bodyfat. Hope to get down to around 8% for summer. Hopefully another 4-5 weeks.370/240/440

Im cutting big time right now. Things that are working for me:
-Cardio in the morning. Even if i have to work at 8am, im up at 7 running.
-Caffeine pill + Green tea extract. No coffee because i cant drink it unsweetened.
-Dont eat after 6pm(i know, cliche) or at least go to bed on an empty stomach. That said, dont neglect them proteins while maintaining them muscles.

What worked for me:
-Half the cut I did with a normal deficit diet, 40/40/20 ratio. Heavy lifting, cardio 3-4 times a week (LISS, not HIIT-- typically 3.5 mph @ 6-8 incline for 40 mins.)
-Second half I did with EC stack and carb cycling.
-Drank a ton of water and biked whenever I could.
-I would still drink alcohol once a week and it would help me lose water weight so it was beneficial in some aspects. I would also still smoke and it would reduce food cravings. Not recommending either but thats just how it worked out for me.

im carb cycling, on round 2200-2400 cals and do 30 mins of fast paced walking..
been losing the weight but dont feel like im losing that much fat... my arms have shrunk from 16 to 15-15-2 inches and i feel terrible..
but apparently from 16 % bf and 13 A% you cant really tell the diffrence.. so im hoping to see some draastic changes in the next four weeks

How do you all calculate your calories for cutting? Does it work good?
I multiply my current weight by 13, and then I subtract 25% from the result to create a deficit of around 700 calories. It seems to work good for me."Government is founded on property;
property is founded on conquest;
conquest is founded on power;
