This split has worked well for some great growth this past offseason.

I will give some credit to the 1x a week routine which helped me build the physique I had in 2010 but from what I've learned a lot of bodybuilders have built their physiques in spite of their training not because of it. I believe myself to be one of those guys. With the gains I've made this past year training 2x per week upper/lower at an already very advanced stage of natural muscular development, I can't help but wonder what I would have done training like this for years now.
Hey Robbie, could you post up your routine? Or pm me it? I'd really appreciate it.

Training everything 1x a week is so pointless IMO. it's like a step forward then a 7 day break to digress. Not cool. People often make the assumption of "over training" most times, over training is cureable it only takes a few days to get through it as your body adapts to greater exercise demands. I've done shoulders 3 times a week before. ran into no problems. currently doing legs 2x a week also. my focus wears off after 45 mins or so so I make sure to get in some good intensity and do it again 4 days later

Just my opinion, personal experience and the way my body reacts.

Today is leg day,and i will certainly not recover in 48 hours. It will take about 5 days before i walk normal again. If your recover in 48 hours, train harder.
    Larry Scott's bicep workout:
