    Proats - Need Help !!

    Hey guys,
I'm having some trouble making my proats. When I add the powder to the cooked oats, in the firsts moments the consistency is OK, but after I start stearing the oats get really liquid (runny). What I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks !

It's hard to say without knowing the ingredients an quantities you are using. Have you tried less liquid? I typically do 1-1 oats to liquid or a tad less liquid. I also mix oats and whey pre cooking in the microwave

Do you happen to be using Optimum Nutrition Whey?

I have the same thing happen to me all the time.

I add some PB, cool it down in the fridge, and then eat.

If you can handle it, only cook 3/4 of the oats in the appropriate amount of liquid, add in the protein powder, then add in the rest of the oats raw - it makes for an interesting consistency...

I usually go for 80g of oats and cover with water until I can't see the oats anymore inside the bowl...

This usually makes a good consistency when I eat with only chocolate powder, but when I add my myofusion it gets completely liquid...

Id advice switching from whey powder to casein powder. The casein makes it much thicker. I do 1 cup oats + water in the microwave for 2 minutes, then mix in 1 scoop of ON Casein double chocolate. Turns out very thick and rich

i make mine completely different. i make my whey sludge in a separate bowl by adding the powder + milk, and just add it into the oats when i've got the consistency right.

I used the Myofusion blend ( whey, casein and albumin ) ....

as3d : do you cook your oats? Or just mix the sludge in the raw oats ? Doesn't is stays with little volume?

I tried adding less liquid. Came of that before adding my myo, the oats were really dry ( after cooked ) , but when I added the powder, after a few minutes the mixture became really runny again.

    Any more sugestions?

a witch doctor must have put a voodoo curse on your oats because i have no idea how someone can have so much trouble cooking oats

if its too runny then dont cook them at all or cook them for less time with even less liquid

Maybe the problem is with the myofusion?

Can I add the whey powder and mix with the water before I cook the oats? And cook the oats already with the whey... Maybe that would help?

    Thanks
