found what appears to be a nice squat rack for a fair price since it includes weights bar etc(even tho I have a TPB). the owner said its a custom built rack used for a highschool athletic department.
seem like a good deal?

Might be worth half the asking price, but no more.
No brain, no gain.

the dfw craiglist market sucks. People asking too much money for crap
Here is a "PLing DL Platform" it looks like crap its just a piece of plywood w/ 2 1/2" stall mats
so only 1 3/4 inch thick 8x8 platform for $450, he was asking $650 a week ago.
It maybe cost him $100 to make and 1 hr to make.

It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

The "surrounding" areas don't look much better. So many people wanting $300+ for Marcy, Weider, etc.
I thought it was a FW-28 until the seller said it was "custom" at which point I lost interest. It wouldn't be the first rack someone had built to look like an actual product. If you look at the base though, you can see the crossbeams have an extra pipe above them that "slants/curves" down towards the front. The sabers have the beam "twist locks" on them, but it looks like the hooks lack the pop pins. Really hard to tell with the seller's picture what's going on. That looks like a lot of effort to clone that rack so closely given that the the odd sized channel beams would pretty much require you to track down/use the hooks and sabers from Pro Maxima since pretty much everything else uses square tubing or rectangle tubing.

It very well maybe given that it weighs 300lbs. I was thinking of the Tuff Stuff TPR-265 for some reason. I just looked and didn't see the weight limit of the Promaxima FW-28 listed at the BB rack wiki, the manufacturer's site, nor at "MyWeightLifting" (which has a power rack database that has additional racks in it).
