I only have experience with 100% Whey Gold Standard, but will say this about it. I have a sensitive gag reflex with tastes and consistencies. I've had proteins before that I just cant take (2 tubs of another brand sitting at home, just cant do it). However, I did do the Banana Cream 100% whey (have some at my desk right now) and as for taste, I rate it 9/10. It tastes really good (good enough to where its actually enjoyable). The consistency is a medium (not thick or watery but definately flows. I often put less water than it calls for to make the flavor stronger.

While I cant give a review of the other brand, I can say I REALLY enjoy the 100% Whey.

You have got to be kidding me! Gold Standard is way overrated.. It was top of the line 5 years ago, but now there are many better wheys... I have had Gold Standard and Prostar Whey, and I cant say i had better results with one or another, but I can say that Prostar Whey tastes better, it mixes better, it has more protein per 30g serving, and it has 120g more powder in the 5lbs box. I now use Prostar Whey on regular basis!

BTW, Ultimate Nutrition has been around since 1979, Optimum came almost ten years later! (talk about experience )

Both are quality proteins. I'm partial to ON as they have been around a long long time and have always produced quality products. Their whey protein is arguably one of the top, if not the top, whey protein on the market. You can for sure expect that your getting quality when you buy from ON
