    Need 440g carbs...

My biggest problem is getting enough carbs daily. Protein and especially fat I get in excess.

I'm looking for at least 440g of carbs. How do you all get your carbs? Specific food choices and preferences? I need some ideas to get those carbs up. If you have a similar carb requirement, I'd appreciate it if you posted the carbs from your plan.

Ah, thing is I'm looking for low GI, clean stuff. At the moment this is pretty much wholewheat bread and oatmeal.

Not diabetic, but it helps to avoid brain glucose/insulin spikes since I'm in high school with comorbid ADD without medication. It's not a huge deal, but if I can control that variable, great.

I'm aware that appetite takes quite a blow from lower GI foods, which could be an issue. I'm eating to gain weight for the first time, so there are some changes I need to get used to.

I start to have a hard time choking down more than 300g of low GI carbs like oatmeal, quionoa and sweet potato type stuff in the course of a da.

High GI carbs would be easier , like for example..drinking a container of maple syrup.

Thanks for suggestions, everyone. Still nothing I find particularly palatable, but I suppose that's to be expected, considering my low-GI masochism/'automysophobia'.

I really do have no clue why it's funny. Care to enlighten me?
Took me a while to get your "automysphobic" joke I would imagine you give a lot of nutritional advice. Ha
Would you suggest I not put so much thought into the types of carbs I'm getting in? I'd imagine this won't make any difference besides my energy levels, right?

You're asserting that high school is a disease, much like ADHD (what you call ADD).

Try eating combinations of food that change the GL of the meal, if you really do think that you become symptomatic if you consume high GI carbs (presumably by themselves).
