Why is Marijuana illegal but not Cigarettes?

google is your friend, there are many reasons. It would challenge many industries that had long entwined themselves with governments. High government officials are friends with rich business men too, that is just life and friends pull favours for friends, again that is just life.

i think he was reffering to the fact that weeds effect on the brain is very mild in comparison to other legal drugs like methadone and alcohol. When u combine that with the fact they allow smoking of tobacco, you have to question the motives. Its obviously not for health reasons.

That would be fine if society didn't criticize someone that's had three beers and decides to drive home. And I don't condone not criticizing it. I'm fine with drinking/smoking/whatever in your home, but I think driving and public intox of anything should have much more severe consequences.

brb if a pack of joints/weed cigs are ten bucks, even twice the price of cigs, nobody will start smoking them as much as cigs, if not more..


seriously. the gov't is trying to do away with smoking with increased taxes and limitations on where you can smoke. I don't see why the **** anyone would want to add something that's a combination of smoking and alcohol, when the sane thing to do would be to set stricter limitations on what is already legal.
