How big do you guys think this game will be in USA? To be honest I haven't even heard of the game until I was on the D3 thread, but reading up on it made me very excited.

Pretty big. Most of GW1's fans will be picking it up. Not to mention the people straying away from Blizzard will be coming in, as well as newcomers.

What stood out the most for me was the way "quests" work. Basically, you go wherever the phuck u want to, and an event will pop up that u can take part in (e.g., Centaurs attacking a town), and everyone else can take part of it too, increasing in difficulty the more people are involved.

Dynamic Events (DE) make it so you get varying quests depending on successful completion or failure of a quest segment in the DE.

Also WvW, gets rid of the faction vs. faction (alliance vs hord; dark side vs. light side) in most mmo instead your server is going up against another server.

Combat mechanics are much more fluid, you no longer watch your character attack in a single position and spam 1,2,3,4 etc. you actually have to move and dodge in order to survive.

on the beta weekend right after the pre orders started my friend played a guardian and loved it, he said they have a ton of dodges and defensive type abilities, me and him had a 1 on 1 in battlegrounds i was on a ranger and we couldn't kill each other because we each had so many dodges and such a good heal

Hey brahs.. Long time WoW player here. I quit video games going into my freshman year of college but I'm looking to start MMOing again once GW2drops. My dilemma is that I don't have a computer that can run the game optimally or even handle it for that matter. So my question is what kind of laptop would you brahs recommend to play GW2 on? I'd prefer not to spend a ton of cash so would a used gaming comp be my best option, or!

bought a used desktop for 225 off of craigslist for diablo 3

core 2 duo
4 gb ram
geforce 450 gts

pretty damn good deal for 225, and it has played the newest games on near max settings, should handle gw2 perfectly at medium/high settings

check on craigslist for something within your price range
