    Is 4 hours sleep enough?

    I went out last night went to bed at 4am got up at 8am and I'm about to go the gym. I don't do this a lot on a weekday, very rare but will it dramatically affect my perfomance in the gym?

    but 4 hours of sleep can be fine if you workout later .


    on thursdays i usually get 4 hours of sleep, but dont workout till 11pm at night when i have lots of calories/coffee in my system...


    morning workouts=little energy+lack of sleep= fail for me...

    Depends. Some people can stay up for 21 hours a day and sleep for 3 hours a day and feel good about it. Some of my friends only sleep 4 hours a day (srs), sounds unhealthy to me but they can't sleep for any longer

    If you're a man of the calibre of General Stanley A. McChrystal you can live on one meal a day and 4hrs sleep while winning a war. If you aren't that calibre I'd suggest 8-9hrs at your age and closer to 7 as you get older.
