    Roughly how many calories does a 4 minute Tabata session burn?

    Just wondering? Would it burn about the same as half an hour of low intensity stead state cardio or less? cheers

    Extremely doubtful. Going all out for 4 mins, I can see burning 100-150...200 max calories (think running a 4 minute mile)

    Just a slow jog for 30 minutes should burn twice that.

    No reasonable way to do 30 minutes of work in 4 minutes....

    Calorie burn aside, the interesting part of that comparison is physical fitness.

    4 minutes of tabata is much better than a leisurely 30 minute jog.
