So as you guessed i've never tested my 1RM for anything. from what I gather I may reap benefits of doing so, and being so weak im willing to give anything ago at the minute.
A little info, i've been doing SS for about 3-4 months, admitedly some of that a bitched up with bad form/diet but im learning and made size/strengh gains.
Im just thinking this may help me somehow with day to day strengh as im still quite weak.
If I should how do I go about it? Add my working stats in a rep calc and try its idea on my 1RM?
Thanks

I wouldn't do it. Unless you have some reason to know your 1rm numbers more accurately than you could calculate using an equation with your weight and reps then I don't see the point of doing it. If you're lifting for size/strength I don't see it as necessary. Maybe if you're powerlifting you would do that in training, but even they don't do it all the time in training.
If you're making good gains with your current routine then stick to that. Try to maximize your gains by making sure you employ the program correctly, have your diet in check and apply sufficient intensity in the gym.

Im not saying test 1RM all the time by anymeans. I hear testing it increases it. And for me being weak it could help my confidence in day to day life, and trainning just being able to giveb thay little extra
Nevermind my sob story, just a thought
Edit: elabourating I mean it may help playfight wise, and not being so intimdated perhaps a little stronger during work sets.

Honestly, if you think it will help you mentally, then go for it. I personally enjoy lifting near my 1RM. It is fun to me. But I don't see that it benefits me much so I don't do it often.
But yes, if you've never lifted near your max and think it might make you realize that you are stronger then you think, then it could be a very beneficial thing for you.-
