Ok to do HIIT while doing I.F.?

Would you recommend I do HIIT cardio while on IF and trying to cut? Or would steady start cardio be enough?

From my reading of current research, HIIT and steady state are not as big a difference as some like to talk about. You won't lose 9*more fat on HIIT.

I'm doing cardio for over all fitness myself, I don't worry about it for cutting, thats all diet for me.

Right now Im in my first week of IF and I am enjoying it a lot. What I have decided to do is run on the treadmill for 2 miles at 6.0 speed and that is right after my lifting session.

Most people will say that Cardio isnt needed because it really isnt! I just like to do it because it releases a lot of stress and helps keep my heart in good shape. I also play Adult softball and I want to be well conditioned for that. I also do my best thinking on the treadmill while running.

I don't really think either HIIT or Steady Cardio will be that much better than the other. Everyone's body is different and everyone's body will react to exercises differently.

I would recommend trying both. Do HIIT one week and steady cardio the next then compare each one by how much weight you lost that week.

    hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Cool. Thanks. It's also my first week of IF. I already feel a big difference with regards to weight loss and getting leaner. I've worked out all my body parts this week, but I don't really want to 'waste' this free day I have. So I was thinking of just doing cardio to burn extra calories... So wondering if HIIT is recommended or not during IF.

    Thanks for everyone's input.

Yeah you can do HIIT, or steady state. Both give the same result, HIIT just takes less time to complete.

    pretty good uuh

Btw if you do cardio and lift while on a fast make sure you grab a piece of bread or something sugarly just to prevent any fainting if you overwork.

I'm late in my contest prep (25 weeks of dieting in and 2 weeks before my show). I used IF through my entire prep and I do a mix of HIIT, LISS and MISS. It shouldn't be a problem.
