Sup everybody!
Just wanted to ask a question about my protein shakes..
Is it better to mix them with water or with milk? OR mix those 2 aswell??
Like, my morning shake is mixed with milk, and my evening shake (on non-training days) is mixed with water?
Looking forward to hear your opinions about this!
Thanks in advance.

Do you understand the concept of macronutrient daily goals? If not go read IIFYM in Nutrition; with that said, milk > water in every sense if it fits your macros (IIFYM). There is no anabolic window following a workout, before somebody says that the fat/carbs will slow the digestion after a workout. Casein ~ 8 grams (1 cup of milk) + 40g whey > solely 40g whey in terms of absorption, fwiw.

I understand the concept of MN daily goals, but I'm not much of a fan of the IIFYM thing.. I've been on a lean gain route for the last 5 or 6 months, and it's working well for me.. (went from 75kg to 84kg in that time, and had decent growth on all of my muscle groups)
I don't know if I'm getting broscienced here, but someone told me that mixing it with milk makes your body absorb it faster...? If you catch my drift here..
And that mixing it with water makes your body absorb the proteins over a longer period.
What about that stuff?**Dutch Gardening Crew**

Uh, milk's casein + powder's whey has an increased absorption over solely whey (5:1 whey:casein). I believe it was an Alan Aragon study? Regardless, it's not gonna matter much in the long run.
Your body will absorb however much it needs, digestion timing is largely irrelevant. 30g/40g per hour is broscience.

Hmm, looks like milk would be the better one of both, and since I'm looking for a weight of 200 pounds @ the end of the winter, I think that's the way to go?
Would rep if I could rep.. dont think my +50 points will do anything good for you guys!
But thanks anyway!**Dutch Gardening Crew**
