Seriously...
Definitely don't recall saying "mkal" anywhere in my post, he was furthest thing in my head. I also don't recall putting numbers in my post either, so I'm not sure where the whole "everyone should be 175-180" or whatever. If anything I was remembering manny who earlier in this thread claimed he was going to cut from 156 >> 132 for his very first powerlifting competition. In my head (maybe nobody else's, but mine) something like that makes no sense.
No disrespect to you mkal, but this is totally not the first time people have shared their opinion of others on this thread and it won't be the last. We're just some scrubs on the internet. Why let what we think effect you?

I promise not every post is directed at you. The 170-180 was pulled from Jason's post. My point was simply that without context, it is rather arbitrary to throw out numbers.
My personal goals wouldn't have me sitting at a weight when I have more growing/cutting to do, but I also understand people have different goals/plans than myself.

5/3/1 works over the duration of multiple cycles, not a single cycle (see here: http://531year.blogspot.com/). If you switch to a program and almost immediately switch off, you're never going to make significant progress.
