It's a conditioning issue. Since you are trying to "get back into shape", your conditioning level is probably low and an intense workout cause you to reach the lactate threshold quicker.
The nausea will alleviate as your conditioning level increases (as adaptation increases).Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

I agree with DJAuto, it's all about conditioning. I also agree that maybe you're taking your protein too close to your workout. Just wait until you get back to where you were, and you push your intensity even more, and in the middle of a burnout (squats for example) and you feel the urge to vomit. Not a fun thing. But I would say that when your body gets accustomed and your conditioning gets better, you'll be good.
Goal: Get back on track, lose weight, feel confident.

take a few moments and reflect on the question you just asked.
done?
ok. if it's hard to breathe and you are nauseated you should probably take a short break or lower the intensity. idk about you but I find it quite difficult to exercise without breathing.
listen to your body, this isn't a complicated answer. just take a quick break until the neausea subsides and get back to it.

at first i hated feeling sick when i was doing circuits that were really tough on me, then i learned to embrace it.
def push ur cals 60-90 mins before your workout...or just do it fasted.
and start a bit slower.Used to be fat, now just fat with a lot of muscle.
